View Full Version : Sure, NOW I have a kitchen witchery disaster!

:D

I decided last night that I wanted to make an herb and vinegar for my hair so I brewed up a nice strong infusion of camomile, coltsfoot and lavender (that's what's in the pantry for now). I put a healthy handful of each into my largest French Press with some boiling water, stirred it around a bit and set in on the back of the toilet next to a bottle of ACV so I wouldn't forget about it.

I kissed the kitty goodbye and went and spent the evening at my BFs house.

I came home this morning and the bathroom looked like something out of Poltergeist (only it smelled better)! I don't know what happened and the kitty's not talking no matter how I grill her...the press was laying in the catbox which is under the sink (eewww!) naturally with a big huge clump of clay and herbs stuck to it. There was pale green tea and chunks of herbs all over the toilet, down the wall and the door, all over the floor and the side of the tub, and even a trail of it out in the hallway. And then of course, since the catbox was 'occupied' my kitty left me a surprise in the hallway. What a mess!

I'll be a little late for work today. I am brewing another batch of it (in the kitchen!) so by the time I get the bathroom throughly clean again, it should be cool enough to use! :D Days that start like this don't get worse, right?

Poor Heidi!!!!!!! It's good you can have a sense of humor about this! :D Better luck with the next batch (and maybe keeping the brew in the kitchen would be a better idea this time around! ;) ).

*laugh*! Cats... can't live with 'em, can't bear to live without them. They've got us well trained, huh?

I can so see my cat doing the same thing. :) Good luck cleaning up the mess.

Cheers,
Jonobie

Well is Kitty's hair softer? I'm sorry you had such a cat-tastrophe :) Sorry, I'll quit.

I have 5 cats and NOTHING goes undisturbed in this place. I have one that insists on showering with me! He leaves when the vinegar rinse starts though :)

Glad nobody was hurt though. Maybe the kitchen would be a better place to keep it. Have a great day and keep that sense of humor!

Oh MAN!

:D Kitty did NOT appreciate your recipe I guess!

I would love to see that on video!

Yup! Kitties are the best at keeping secrets, lol, make sure you hide the next batch in a cupboard to keep Kitty from having so much fun at your expense

::sigh:: oh how we love our pets

Heidi, I'm thinking you might wayt to store your mix IN the pantry with a childproof latch!!!!!!!!! ;) hahahahahahahaahahahahaha

I don't know who to feel sadder for! You or the kitty! She was just trying to rid the bathroom of that ODOR! ;) hahahaha (her words, not mine . . . yes, she emailed me! hahahahahaah)

I hope you get that mess cleaned up! But you know, you might be finding bits of herbs through out the bathroom for weeks! ;) hahahahaha

HUGS!!!

Great tale! (or is that TAIL??)
