This site has been many months in the making! http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0903/huepfen/jumping-smiley-021.gif And now the time is here! Our own hairstik site!

We spent all summer designing, redesigning and perfecting the hand turning of our patent pending hairstiks. We tried many different woods, lathes and patterns. It’s been a long road and sometimes frustrating process, (okay, often!) http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0903/sprachlos/speechless-smiley-003.gif but now, we are so incredibly excited to present these stiks to you!

One of the unique things about our stiks is that we custom make the length of the stiks to your specifications. Our stiks are all hand turned, sanded to complete smoothness and finished; the lengths ranging from 4.5” to 6” in half inch increments. Simply choose your tops and select the stik length you desire at the time of ordering. We will make your stiks and ship them to you, usually in less than 24 hours.

We are offering roughly 100 tops made of lampwork, Swarovski, Sterling silver, gold, porcelain and bone on either Sterling silver or gold findings. There is almost always only one of each kind, once it is sold, there are no more of that exact kind. We will be putting new tops up frequently, so check back often! We also have a selection of handcrafted hair forks made out of exotic woods.

I have also put a few styles up using hairstiks for those interested in trying out new styles. Let me know if they are straightforward enough or just clear as mud. There is a link at the bottom of the homepage.

We believe we have something for everyone and that all of our products are reasonably priced, so almost anyone who wants to try them has a selection within their price range. Most of all, please have fun just browsing! I know that's one of my favorite things to do!

And lastly, for those of you who were aware of our development of this site, thank you so much for your encouragement and support! We appreciate it more than you can know.

Beautiful, Goldlady! I love the shape of your sticks, I bet they work very well. I just bought some MeiFas, and the shape seems to be similar. And your selection of lampwork beads is great :)

Do you do custom work, too, if you can find the right beads?

Beautiful Hairsticks! And the shape looks like it would hold in my slick hair.

I'm loving those turtle ones....mmmmhhh, I'll have to think about those...

You're tempting me Goldlady!:D  :D

oooOOOoooo Goldlady! How very exciting for you to have created a new venture like this! Your hairsticks look elegant. I think I need some square beaded toppers to add to my collection so I'll be watching out for new designs to come. And you offer hair/bodycare products too? Looks like a labour of love! Best of luck!

Well crafted, very intuitive site! Clever idea, custom-made lengths. Already eyeing some of those beads (bad Mop, no more hair toys for you). Hope you have a grand opening!

::drools::

It's a good thing my hair is still too damn short for hairsticks, because I would have no money left otherwise.

Thanks you guys for your good wishes!

Katrine, bikerbraid, Axium and Anne: Thanks you
guys for posting. I really appreciate your comments. And Anne, your site is fabulous! Thanks for posting about mine.

Madeleine: We sure would do custom work. Just PM me with your thoughts and ideas. Mei Fa has a patent on the functional shape of their sticks, so we made sure our stik shape didn't infringe on theirs. I do like how our stiks hold, though. My fine, slick hair is finiky as all get out about keeping hair toys in. http://www.click-smilie.de/sammlung0903/mini/small-smiley-010.gif

ladybug and Honey Mane: Hey, I'd love to have my stiks adorning those locks of yours! http://www.click-smilie.de/sammlung0903/aetsch/cheeky-smiley-033.gif

Martine: It IS a labor of love! I'm trying to remember if I worked this hard when I worked in Biotech...
http://www.click-smilie.de/sammlung0903/schlafen/sleeping-smiley-015.gif I'll keep your request in mind when I'm making tops. ;)

Mop: Thank you! You know, I got the idea by shopping around and liking tops but the length was wrong for me.
Really bummed me out. http://www.click-smilie.de/sammlung0903/traurig/sad-smiley-002.gif Hubby could sometimes fix the lengths, but when it wasn't a 'business' you know how long that takes. By the time I got them back from him, I didn't remember buying them. He should have pretended they were a newpresent and got some points. Hehehehe!

Heidi and Sasha: Thanks Heidi! I am crafty *she says as she twirls her Snidely Whiplash mustache**
And poop, I still can't see your braid ender! :( And Sasha, I plan to still be here when your mane is long, flowing and fabulous!

By the way, wasn't there an LHC hair toy site list somewhere? I think it
was maintained by a member and we could submit a site to her? Can't find
that post anywhere now. I'd like to get mine and Anne's submitted
(if she hasn't already) and maybe a few of those that have been put on
this board recently (like that snood site http://www.click-smilie.de/sammlung0903/liebe/love-smiley-006.gif).

Deb, I didn't even think about the hair toys list, I can't find it now..it used to be on the hair stuff reviews board right? It was supposed to be sticky..::wondering::

Anyway, if I find it, I'll add yours, if you find it, add mine ;)

Oh! I just remembered, Matty suggested we get the links page going here for those of us with sites to add.

Steph, are you out there?

Those are beautiful, GoldLady! I was wondering when you'd be "off and running" with the hair stiks! Congratulations! I'm keeping my eye one a few and I know I'd better order while I can, but money is a little tight right now!

Congratulations and best wishes (and (((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))))))))) ) )

Big Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish you every success! Your site looks great and I love that you have a styling page. I think that really helps those who don't know how to use hair sticks, but would like too!

Oh, my goodness.... I didn't even connect that the beautiful hairsticks I had just bid on on Ebay were yours! And I didn't hit the reserve, so I didn't get them, dangit. You leave the internet for a weekend and everything just goes to pieces.

In any case... they're gorgeous!
