View Full Version : ~Henna-does it have to be hot?~

I'm gearing up for a henna treatment, but I was wondering if it can be used after it has cooled.

My first experience with henna was Lush henna and the directions said to use it hot. After that I tried other hennas, but I'm never sure if it HAS to be hot or not, so I've always used it before it cools.

Isn't this damaging?

Can I use it cool as long as the henna has cooked in hot water for awhile and is released?

Thanks

Catherine Cartwright-Jones says to mix up the henna with lemon juice and let it sit overnight to let the dye release. I've done this before, and didn't bother to warm up the henna again before applying. It worked just fine. :)
