Hi,

I did my very first henna today. I put together a page of henna photos to show you all how it turned out.

The pictures of the finished product were taken outside in the sunlight. My hair does not look as golden as it does in the picture indoors! It's more of a cherry red. Much darker.

I followed Madeleine's instructions almost to the letter. I never did get out to get the hair dye brush - I used squeeze bottles instead. I can see that the brush would be very helpful for getting the henna close to, but not touching, the hairline. Next time!

It wasn't hard, just time-consuming. But I got a lot of boring paperwork done, like bills and insurance forms. All with my plastic cap, a turbo towel, and a heating pad balanced on my head!

The shine henna gives is indescribable. And the lovely color, without damage, and cheap too.

I'm a convert and I'd recommend it to anyone (after doing a strand test of course!)

Henna is so neat, my hair looks way different inside than it does in outside light (I henna too). It keeps things interesting. ;)

TL, You have BEAUTIFUL hair! I don't think I've seen it down before, but WOW, does it ever shine - and the color is gorgeous. Not to mention, the condition of your hair looks awesome! Just wow wow WOW!

So pretty! I use Logona hair dye, too, and love it! I use a lighter shade, though. Isn't it unbelievable how much shine this stuff adds to the hair?

Your hair is absolutely gorgeous after your henna treatment! I love the red color......it's so beautiful. what was your hair color before you used the henna?

I once let a beautician give me a henna treatment several years ago. I had light golden blonde hair at the time and came out a bright orange strawberry blonde! I loved the color but did not have the courage to come back to work with such a drastic change. I had most of it washed out after repeated stripping and shampoos. Most of my scalp felt it was removed as well! Now that I have really long hair, I have the courage to go RED now. Maybe I will next.

I was a little shocked when I woke up this morning, bleary-eyed and semi-concious, forgetting what I had done!

The thing that amazes me most is that one can get color so similar to salon chemical coloring, without the damage and expense of a salon coloring. And conditioning along with it.

I just wish I had known about henna a long time ago.
