Since I'm in with a cold, dh brought me home Sense and Sensibility to watch. Now, I'm longing to have curls a la Marianne. I'd love to be able to do updos with one or two pretty curls hanging down my neck.

As it is, my hair is somewhere between straight and wavy. When a piece of hair escapes my updo, it just looks messy and not delightfully curly.

But, I'm a big believer in being happy however God made you, so I'll get over my curl envy soon.

Kate Winslet has gorgeous curls as Marianne in Sense and Sensibility and as the lead in Titanic.

You could use rag rollers to create the Marianne look.

Oh I love that movie!! Yes, great hair too!

When I first saw that movie, I dipped into my fabric stash and tied my hair up in curls...the 'rags' were comfy to sleep in, too. Naturally they looked nothing like Marianne's, but with a little more practice and technique...

<sigh> I know . . . her locks are lovely!!!

But like you, I try not to dwell on what I don't (and won't ever) have!
