View Full Version : Mei Fa update, and who wanted the ivory ones???

I've been emailing Suzie of . . . http://www.auctionworks.com/store/default.asp?sfo=thuzie who sells the Mei Fa sticks on ebay.

She is currently getting rid of her stock and (I think) preparing to order from the Mei Fa spring/summer selection. So her ebay prices of 9.99/14.99 are close out prices. The regular prices (I think) are going to be about 20 dollars.

Anyway, she said

"I wanted to thank you again for putting that link up, I have been snooping around & have to say it is interesting to read how excited everyone is with the hair styx's. It's kind of like getting to be the proverbial fly on the wall... I think all the sales in this last batch were probably people you knew except for the doctor from germany that outbid the girl that was afraid of being sniped in the end. I can reorder any of those hair styx & hundreds of others but they will be at regular price again. Starting at $18.00 per pair & up. I'm still debating whether or not to restock them. Could you put out some feelers & see if anyone is willing to pay full price for them? If there's no demand then I may just stop carrying them for the time being."

SO, who was it who wanted the ivory ones, but got out bid???? She can order them for you. You might email her (go to the site and click on contact).

I'm thinking she might be able to get the bronze/brass (what was it ya'll wanted???) ones, too. But I'm not sure.

So, anyway! ;)

Just wanted to let ya'll know . . . :)

Oh, yeah, and if Suzie (thuzie) reads this, I wish she would join the gang and chat! :) :) :) :face:

I'll certainly buy several pair. I didn't bid cause the others wanted them, but I do want some. Which ones? hmmmm.... here's my list
Brief, Cynthia, Jet, Mod, Moto, Neat, Runway, Sass, and Garnish. Whew! That's a lot, so I'd prolly buy them a few at a time.

Gosh, did you see the display sheets? Holy moly! They are so pretty! I wish the display sheets were a little larger, then I could see them better.

So... yeah I'd buy some if she ordered them! :)
I wonder how much business we give the other vendors? They probably scratch their heads and wonder why all of a sudden they get a burst of business!

I just got another reply from her (she was SUPPOSE to be packing to go out of town, but was snooping around here and emailing me! ahahahahahaha ;) ) Anyway, she said the regular Mei Fa selling prices range from $18 - 36. The regular price on those ivory ones are something like $26.

And yeeeeeesssssssssssssss I saw the sheets of paper! I didn't notice there were PAGES of them on her site! hahahahaha, I thought there was just page one! :face: So I went through ALL of the pages!!! LOL I even tried to get those catalog pages larger by changing the Print % size . . . didn't work! :suspect: (yeah! I finally get to use him! hahahaaha)

I was sad to see there weren't any of those beads like I have, that Dulci wants so badly. You know, the barrel bead. I think I saw one that looked like a barrel bead, but I couldn't get a good sense of its color(s).

Anyway, Suzie (thuzie) will be back in town midweek. I think she is going to join us! :) Even her SO said she should! hahahahhaha :)

I'm gonna go check boards now, Just wanted to give an update on the update.

I want to use a few emoticons! Just-a-cuz they're fun! ;)  :face: :DD

Ohhhhh yes, the Barrel beads! I want, I want LOL.

And LOOK! I found my styx on the first style sheet, they are called Javlin! I'm glad to know what they're named, it wasn't on the pricetag or anything. :)

What page did you see the barrel bead on TBear? :?: Those style sheets are taking so LONG to download for me...

Page 5, last full column, 4th one down. It is called Pam. But it doesn't look a lot like mine, but it does look "barrelish".

I'm still looking, though! ;)

AAHhhhhhhhhhhh  they have some of the ALLWOODS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! page 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dulci, also look at page 4, first column 3rd one down, Leah. It looks like a glass barrel bead.

And on the last column (pg 4 still), the fourth one down Glide is a glass bead, but a tear drop.

But did you see these, that she is selling on her site? They are very pretty http://www.auctionworks.com/store/itemDetail.asp?sid=200302241758480000000032636282&sfid=1839&id=7272529 They are green and gold glass beads (not barrel).

The one I want the MOST is on page 2, last column, 5th one down, Crystal Tear! Isn't it GORGEOUS!!!!

i bought 2 pairs at $9.99 each plus shipping.

to be frank, i wouldn't probably buy again unless they were about that cheap. hope I don't sound like a jerk, they are just out of my price range otherwise.

I bought one set at 9.99. I'm unlikely to purchase another set, unless they go cheaply -- my Whole Foods sells them locally, and so with $5 for shipping and the hassle of not being able to handle them first & see them in person, it takes a pretty significant discount for me want to purchase online instead of in person.

I am really looking forward to getting my first pair, though! :)

Cheers,
Jonobie

I agree Jonobie, there's something about holding them, twisting them to see how they look in the light that is worth it. I buy online because it saves me money, or because I can't get them locally. I'd buy them if they were $20. including shipping, which is what she was offering at the Buy It Now price.
