I need a phrase translated and my language through high school and college was Spanish. If anyone could translate:
Did your education include learning to speak French?
I would be very appreciative. I came up with:
Votre éducation a-t-il inclus l'apprentissage pour parler Français?
from a translation site, but when I back-translated the phrase it was wacky. I'm desparate! Please help!

Ive only taken high school level French, so I don't know too much, but the translation sounds about right.
I know I'm not too much help

I took some French in high school and I believe this would be the answer:
A fait votre éducation inclut l'apprentissage pour parler Français?
Fait- means did
votre- means your
Hope this helps have to go and get ready for a parti!

Marianess -- Rebekha's translation is good. My husband is fluent - and agrees with Rebekha.

I didn't trust the "auto-translator". I'll go with Rebekha's.
Thanks again!

To make that sentence sound more like every-day language that the French would actually use ;) :
Est-ce que vous avez apprené le francais à l'ècole?

The most useful website of all time, http://www.systran.net/ uses the following phrase:
Votre éducation a-t-elle inclus l'étude pour parler français ?

That's completely correct, but very very formal - no normal person in the street would mention education at all... But, hey, that's only what I think, and I'm German, not French. The French are our neighbors, though and I learned French for about six years.

I just got an idea, marianess: Why don't you e-mail my bf, he learned French at university plus a French guy works right next to him. I'll pm you his addy. Just write down all the sentences that have been suggested to you and ask him which one to pick.

Some suggestions:
Avez-vous étudié français à l'école?
Parlez-vous français?
Avez-vous appris français à l'école?
Est-ce que vous appreniez français à l'école?
Est-ce que vous avez pris français à l'école?
Vos études ont-ils inclu leçons de français? :ponder:
That's all I can come up with for now...
