GM is Dr George Michael. He developed a concept and line of products for long hair and keeping it beautiful and healthy.

Mind you not everyone follows all his reccomendations, and some people haven't been as impressed as others with the results. I myself have no opinion because I live about 3 light years away from the nearest GM salon, and I get cold sweats at the thought of someone else getting near my hair with scissors.
