View Full Version : FranceLuxe goodies for sale!

Hi folks :)

I have some spare FranceLuxe stuff - mostly free gifts that I know I won't wear (FL is very generous with freebies), items that have been sent twice by accident (and they didn't want them back) and stuff that I have bought and thought I liked, but then somehow never used.

Some items have been tried, none of them have really been worn for any length of time. All flawless, except the lime sticks that slightly differ in colour (probably from different batches), but I don't think it would be obvious when worn.
All except the hair sticks come in a little FranceLuxe satin drawstring bag.

For not yet FL addicts: Those accessories are of outstanding quality. Totally seamless, highly polished, very smooth edges on the metal parts. For more info see http://www.franceluxe.com

All prices are about half the catalogue price, postage would be extra. This is of course especially interesting for Europeans since postage will be low and I already paid tax on the items when I got them from the US. But I'm happy to send them anywhere.
Payment via paypal (credit card payment will cost a small paypal fee) or bank transfer within Germany.
1 EUR is about 1.10 US$

Okay, here we go:

.Oh, pooh!
I recently purchased both sets
in the same colors of hairsticks!

When you mentioned green, I reached up
and felt mine which are in my hair as I type this,
and then I saw the purple and giggled.

But I hope you find some takers.
My FL sticks sure can take the bending and such
I put them through.

:-) Ladies, this is a sweet deal!

Aw KM, I'm sorry you just bought those sticks full price - but I'm sure they suit you perfectly!

Hollie, I replied to your PM :)

Hi Madeleine...I might be interested in that barrette, it looks really pretty. Can you give me some idea....I have fairly thick hair (top end of our "medium" range) and I wonder if this might look nice in my hair? I had a long slim slide that needs mending and I miss it.

Think I would be able to get my unruly locks into this? And whether you think it would suit my dark blonde hair? I'm good for hair sticks right now, and I don't think I am succeeding with FT combs.

Hi Bees, I'm replying here rather than to your PM since this might be interesting for others, too.

Can you give me some idea....I have fairly thick hair (top end of our "medium" range) and I wonder if this might look nice in my hair? I had a long slim slide that needs mending and I miss it.

Oh my, I'm terrible with barrettes - I almost never wear them, so it's really hard to judge for me what they can or can't do. And my own hair is thin, which doesn't make answering your question easier for me.
Let me put it this way: from the FL barrettes that I've had in my hands so far (four or five different models) this is one of the more delicate ones. It's fairly wide, but rather flat - then again I just tried to close it over two fingers and it worked, didn't even hurt. It's a high quality clip that's very soft and flexible and readily springs back into shape when released. My guess is that it would work, but it's really just a guess
I've also read long ago that when you want to hold very thick hair with a barrette in a low ponytail you shouldn't clip it all, instead take a third or forth from each side and leave the rest loose underneath the barrette. Same look, less stress on hair and clip. Just a thought.

If there are any other pics that would make your decision easier (clip closed, side view, or anything sticking in there etc.) let me know. I can take any photos you need.

Regarding looks, I'm sure it would look good on you. Mojave is my favourite colour - it has swirls and stripes of black, brown, gold, pewter and copper, almost like a velvety cat's fur, and tends to complement the hair colour it's being worn on. There are probably FL colours that are better suited for light blonde hair, but for anything from dark blonde to dark brown and red, mojave is perfect IMHO.

I would like it, please. I talked to my dh and he says that's ok. If you bill me, I will pay you when we get paid next week.

Thanks Madeleine - I will mail you a new postal address, cos we are moving on Saturday and the one you had for the wooden toys won't be right. Oooh!! Treats in my new home!! Yay!

I had never known that about barrettes, thanks...I never even thought of doing that! It might mean I can continue to wear some I thought I had "grown out" of. I must also mend my favourite blue one.

Thanks :) I appreciate your work with all these things
