This deserves a 4.5, but I don't have that option.

Ingredient list quoted from the Oyin Handmade (http://oyinhandmade.com/oyin/index.php) site: Contains virgin coconut cream, mango oil, and hempseed oil in a base of nourishing castor oil. Lightly fragranced with a subtly sweet fragrance that is appropriate for both men and women. 4oz jar.

General comments:
My hair is very oil-friendly, so this product works well for me. I'm not a huge fan of the texture (and it can leave my hands sticky), but it's just soft enough to be easy to use, without being runny or messy. I wouldn't suggest slathering it on unless you're spending the next few days at home, nor do I recommend using it on hair close to your scalp - the usual oil warnings apply.

Personally, I use a little bit on the last six to ten inches of my hair directly after washing, because its effect when I applied to dry hair wasn't as satisfactory. It keeps my hair moisturized and in control, and my braids tend to be neater when I use this beforehand.

In terms of quality:
The packaging is very secure - we live in California and it arrived during the worst of the heat wave, but there was no leakage at all, and it seems to travel well. I have no complaints about the product itself. I haven't noticed any separation of ingredients, etc.

Caveat:
If you don't like the scent of carmel or brown sugar, you might want to think harder about this. It's strong at first and only becomes subtle later, and it lingers all day, especially if you braid after application. (This impression could be due to my dislike of sugary scents, but I've grown to like it over the last few weeks. It might grow on you.)

In large amounts, it may weigh your hair down. This probably happens on a case-by-case basis.

Overall:
The price (at $10, plus shipping) isn't too bad. Usage may vary per person, but I use little enough each application that I think it will last a long time.
