I was wondering, would you could post the recipe you're using for your ACV toner? Proportions of water to ACV, etc.?

View Full Version : Tresses: ACV toner Sheba August 12th, 2003, 01:26 PM I was wondering, would you could post the recipe you're using for your ACV toner? Proportions of water to ACV, etc.? TIA, Sheba Tresses August 12th, 2003, 03:34 PM Certainly! Originally I used only distilled water and ACV. That was 2oz of water with 1 tsp of ACV. Later I played with it, adding ingredients that were recommended for dry skin, basing it on similar recipes I had seen. That was: 1 oz rosewater 1 oz distilled water (this would have been all rosewater, but I must be the only person on the planet who isn't wild about the scent of roses.) 2 drops sandalwood eo 1 drop palmarosa eo This worked pretty well, although I was iffy on the scent. I think I like the scent of palmarosa even less than roses (so together, well, you know....). And I noticed in the warmer weather that the mixture started to get cloudy before I finished with it, so I pitched it. I just recently decided that I preferred the simple distilled water/ACV recipe, so I'm going back to that. HTH! :D julieG August 13th, 2003, 04:53 AM Thanks for that recipe Tresses! And I'm not wild about the scent of roses either! :D Tresses August 13th, 2003, 11:55 AM 1 oz rosewater 1 oz distilled water (this would have been all rosewater, but I must be the only person on the planet who isn't wild about the scent of roses.) 2 drops sandalwood eo 1 drop palmarosa eo ACK! There should be 1 tsp ACV in this.....I was actually up last night wondering if I forgot to write that. :ponder: YEESH! Sorry! rosepetal August 14th, 2003, 08:15 AM Thanks for posting this!
