Almond Oil/Honey Lip Balm

- 8 oz. sweet almond oil
- 1.5-2.5 oz. beeswax
- 1 t. honey
Melt almond oil and beeswax together in a pyrex measuring container. Whisk in honey and pour into containers.

Cocoa Butter Lip Balm

- 2.5 oz. cocoa butter
- 2.6 oz. beeswax
- 1.4 oz. sweet almond oil

Melt all together and then pour into containers.

Flavored Lip Balm

- 2 tsp. beeswax
- 7-8 tsp. light oil (sweet almond oil, castor, jojoba oil)
- 1 tsp. honey
- 5 drops flavoring

Melt oil and beeswax until wax is melted. Remove from heat and add honey. Blend thoroughly, stirring constantly. Add flavorings and put into containers.

Honey Lip Cream

- 1 tsp. honey
- 1 tsp melted beeswax
- 2 tsp almond oil

Melt honey and beeswax in a double boiler, add almond oil. Put into a jar and shake. Pour into molds or jars and allow cream to set for at least 10 minutes before using.

Lip Gloss

- 2 tsp. beeswax
- 7 tsp. castor, jojoba or sweet almond oil
- 1 tsp. honey
- 5 drops of an essential oil (lemon, orange, peppermint, etc.)

Melt the oil and beeswax until beeswax is melted. Remove from heat and add honey. Whisk it all together. When the mixture is nearly cool add the essential oil, mix it up again and then pour into a lip balm container.
If you wish it to be a little harder, simply add more beeswax.

Sweet Honey Lip Balm

- 5-6 T. Sweet Almond or Jojoba, or vegetable oil
- 1-2 T. Beeswax
- 2 tsp honey
- 2 drops essential oil (tea tree, peppermint, etc.)

Melt together the oil and beeswax in a small saucepan over low heat or in a double boiler until melted. Remove from heat and add honey and blend mixture with a small whisk. Stir until cooled, and then add the essential oil. The essential oil helps preserve it; also, jojoba oil will help it stay good, since it does not turn rancid. You can mix the oils, too (ex. mix half jojoba/half shea butter...).

COCOA MINT LIP BALM

- 1.5 oz. cocoa butter (non-deodorize)
- 1 oz. beeswax
- 1.5 oz. shea butter
- .01 oz. pure Vitamin E
- 20 drops peppermint essential oil (optional)

You may wish to less or no peppermint if you don't like the "tingle" that peppermint leaves behind on your lips; the sensation disappears within a few minutes of application) In a heat proof measuring cup with a lip for pouring, melt together the cocoa butter, shea butter and beeswax over a double boiler. Once the butters and wax have completely liquefied, remove from heat. Stir with
a pop sickle stick to ensure the mix. Add Vitamin E and stir to incorporate. Add the essential oil and stir to combine. While mixture remains hot, pour into lip balm containers. You may spill a bit outside the containers as you get used to steadying your hand to pour. If this happens, wait for the mixture to harden and wipe the containers with a clean cloth. Seal, label and enjoy!!

I hope u will like them , I love the honey ones :D

Those recipes sound fabulous! What sort of jar or container do you use for them?
Thanks for sharing the recipes!

I have some empty Rachel Perry lip balm containers but I also use regular white containers that are sometimes used for cosmetic samples. ;)

Sometimes the honey tends to separate in the container :? , I do not know why but it doesn’t happened every time with me , strange  .

Violetta,

Which is your favorite? They all sound great, but I'd like to start with the best one. Thanks!

Well , to tell u the truth , I do not know, I always used beeswax (I have a square that I keep using for my lip balms, I have to buy actually some more because it is almost gone) , I get it from the natural food store and it is not expensive.
