I was just visiting Cinnamons site ( http://classiclength.home.mchsi.com/choose.html )
and was looking at the pictures she has of her bathroom and hair toys and the first thing that came to my head was "whoa, this is like the long haired persons version of LUSH porn!" Basically something you get excited looking at. Let me just say Cinnamon I envy you. :bowtome:When I grow up/ grow out, I want to be just like you. :inlove: I just have a pitiful shower catty and a butterfly clip. I was drooling.

I was just thinking, would anyone else like to post pictures of their collection of hair goodies? Assuming, of course, people don't mind and this hasn't already been done and I'm just slow. If so, just point me in the right direction please!

:Heading on back to Cinnamons site to drool some more:

That was like a trip to heaven and back! Thank you Michiru for posting the link.

Like you, I don't have much hair toys either so I don't think I will be posting a picture, but I think that is going to change fast with the power of LHC and all the LHCers. .. Thats a good thing for me:hollie:but I think wallet feels otherwise:silly: .

My hairtoy collection... It is NOTHING compared to Cinnamon's collection, but I'm working on it ;)

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a275/kimberlily74/tools.jpg
Measuring tape, Scuncii BBB, full size & purse size Denmans, 3 Rachel Stephens combs (last one is my shower comb). Bummed that RS doesn't make combs anymore. I better not EVER lose or break one of these combs!

Hairtoy collection as my DH sees it.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a275/kimberlily74/toys1.jpg
Most of my hairtoys spread out on the floor. I didn't bother putting my elastics in the photo, but I have scrunchies, one lonely Ficcare beak that I purchased about 8 years ago (and it will have two siblings soon!), cheap plastic hairsticks from Sally's, peacock hairsticks from Lissomllama, leather slides, hairpins & Amish pins, various jaw clips (no slip grip clips from Scuncii are the BOMB) and a couple of rhinestone things that I never wear. There are also two silk flower things that I frequently wear with a bun (flowers hot glued to curl pins)

Last, but not least, my beloved Ketylo collection :D
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a275/kimberlily74/ketylocollection.jpg
Two pair of enameled sticks, one pair of East Indies Rosewood sticks, and a Purpleheart fork. All are 6".

*hijack*
Tresses, I LOVE the hairtoy in your avatar! Beautiful!

ETA: my 4 year old just busted off one of the feathers from my peacock sticks :(

Damn I really shouldn't look at Cinnamon's site. I couldn't resist clicking the helpful little links to the ebay sellers I had been avoiding... and then couldn't resist bidding on something. lol

Yeah, sometimes I just go to her site to look at her hair toys. She is definately the queen of them. I drool over them and think..."one day, sigh" My toys aren't worth a photo at the moment.

Holy cow...

I really need to work on my collection of hair toys.

I've been considering using up a lot of my hair products for the purpose of having less of them around, but seeing Cinnamon's collection makes my collection look feeble.

Gave me a lot of ideas for organizing, though :)

I have a huge part of my hairtoycollection in my siggy:wink: and I too love to look at cinnamon's hairtoys, she sure feels like a queen between them.

Tresses, I also love your hairtoy in your avatar - what is it?

I am always happy to share pic from My Hair Toy Collection (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=20254&page=2).

There are a lot of pics (in my journal, and they are all together), so be sure to go to the next page after you look at the ones on the second page.

Sandi that is an awesome collection! I just love your own hairsticks, they are gorgeous. I managed to get one of your sticks in the Canadian swap box and it is definately one of my favorites, it seems to glow.

I have some pics in my journal too (along with some boring vacation pics, you can just skip to the bottom to avoid boredom  ). Keep in mind I have only been growing since July so I do have alot of no-no toys, ie: hair ripping clips, elastics with the metal band, etc...

If you check the last page of my journal, there are some hairtoy pics in there. It's not everything, as I would have to wrangle all the toys out of hiding to do that. I really need to take a pic of my upstairs bathroom with walls of condish .

Thank you, trollkjerring! It is a "butterfly with dome" hairslide from Bronzejewelers. (http://www.bronzejewelers.com/slide-ba.htm) (Item BBD on that page.)

Oooooh, what a fun thread. I love seeing everyone's beautiful hair toys.

Mine are at the link Shell gave......

......but I'll have to update soon as my Blondiesturn hair fork was in my (air)head when I took the pic and I have several GO's on their way to me.

Okay, time for damage control. :wannabe: I DO NOT have the most toys! I'm just the only one with this many toys who is stupid enough to photograph the evidence! It has taken an incredible amount of self control not to have more hair stuff than I do after 4 years on the boards. (Who am I kidding.. it's the small wallet that held me back, not self-control muahaha)
I love looking at other people's collections. It is fun to see the difference in toys and how they are used. Getting ideas here... ketylo fork, purple ficcare. Oh no!
I sooo need to look into that 12 step program, Tresses! Tomorrow.

Hey, at the rate most of use are going we need to find a INSURANCE COMPANY to cover loss of "items"! Could you imagine how costly it would be to try and replace hair toys if there was a fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I am going to call my agent and up my personal property. Okay, I know this is anal, but I keep a spreadsheet of my good hair toys with the date, cost, and who I purchased them from!! I had to restrain myself from adding pics with each entry!

Maybe LHC could hook us up with a "replacement value hair toy insurance policy"!

Mine are here (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=40402), post #27 has the most recent image. It does not, however, show the three new hairtoys that came in on Thursday, or the 6 new ones that arrived while I was out of town.

[looks around to see if anyone noticed the raging geek outburst] :silly:

This should so be over on the "You know you are an LHC member when (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=43798)...." thread.

And I'm definitely adding pics!

Kimberlily –
Ack! When I first saw your pictures my first thought was “ooo, the peacock sticks are pretty” then I got to the bottom and heard they were pulled off. Noo!

Silencepainter –
I know, I love that she put where she bought her products. Now, I only make $60 per paycheck and don’t have the patients to do anything besides a bun and I was book marking over half of the sites she had listed.

DarkIvy –
Yeah, sometimes I try to use a lot of conditioner just to get rid of it but now maybe I’ll just think of it as part of my “collection”.

Tresses –
Are all the hair toys from Bronze jewelers the same size as the one in your avatar? Yes yes, as mentioned I’m embarrassingly lazy when it comes to hairstyles but I thought since it was similar to a bun it might not be too much trouble. But my bun is smaller then my fist I guess it may not work? :?

Cinnamon Hair –
Really, so who has the most? And could you sneak into their bathroom and take a picture?  :heartbeat

Ytak –
Oh my gosh, that’s so true. Especially with the cost of Ficcare. Ha, when I use to buy anime cels I use to do the same thing of keeping track of when, where, how much, and the web site. I even have the picture from the web site then my own picture after I got it. :silly:

Sigh, if I was at home where my camera is I think I would have to take a picture of my shampoo and conditioner collection. (yes, I’m one of those geeky people who wonders off into the shampoo section and just stares at it for about 15 minutes) I may not be too big on toy collecting but I have v. much S/C plus my jojoba oil and MM oil. Heck, I could probably even include my soap collection (honestly I’m like an expensive CVS) I have most of the LUSH bars and CV sample bars plus about 3 shower gels.

Heh, keep the pictures coming! And thanks to everyone who already put one up! :flowers:

No. They are all different sizes, and they are amazingly adaptable...I just got three more...and all of them, including the 2.5" clip back holds my iii hair. The 4" ones hold my hair ponytailed, doubled OR tripled!!!

What I'd like to know is...Cinnamon Hair, did you clean and neatly arrange every thing in your bathroom for picture day or is it like that all the time???? Holy Cow you are neat and organized! That is impressive! Both the neatness and the hair goodie collection. This makes me want to clean and get all neatly organized. Only then would I take pictures

I don't have any pictures because unfortunately I have no camera... And I'm a bit ashamed because lots of my hairsticks are ... hm, chopsticks (pretty chopsticks, I hope!). I'm really envious when I see Birdiefu's and Cinnamon's great collections! I often visit Cinnamon's site to admire her new purchases and her so beautiful, so long hair. In France there's so difficult to find beautiful hair toys, most of mine are from Evita Peroni and (for much cheaper toys) Claire's. Otherwise I often buy barrettes from craftsmen who make jewels.

Tresses, what a gorgeous slide! I always (well, I'm a newbie, so "always" means "since I joined"!) admired your hair, and your hairstyles in your journal too. You're my model, your hair is so beautiful and you can style it so elegantly!

Organized? Try convincing my mother of that! Maybe it could be called an organized clutter. lol Except for a little dusting, that is how my bathroom always looks.
