Coffee as a colour enhancer?
Has anyone tried this?
Is there any risk of being detrimental to hair? (not rinsing with it hot)
I thought it might even up my colour a bit.
Should I mix in oils/conditioners??
TIA

I've never tried it, but I have read about it Here (http://www.pioneerthinking.com/brundye.html).
HTH! If you try it let us know how it goes! :!:

i found it drying, but my hair defines DRY
if you do it, i would suggest definately mixing oils or conditioners and/or following up with a good leave in conditioner

Coffee does wash out, but it can stain lighter hair. Stronger coffee stains more; Community dark roast stains the most.

I've done it -- I did it a couple of times. For some of my rinses, I added several tea bags, which seemed to bring out red highlights; I might try some strong tea rinses again, sometime. I'll probably stay away from the coffee; it seemed too drying.
Pros:
Washes out after 2-3 washes
Good color; blended in my old highlights with my regular hair color
Cons:
Hair felt like straw afterward

I've mixed it with henna to tone down the red tones...

I use coffee all the time. I mix it with deep conditioner and let it sit before rinsing out.

I've tried it straight, made my hair dry too..the conditioner/coffee mix sounds like it would work.
