:waving: I just wanted to say hello friends!!!

I have not been on here for months, and I wanted to stop in for a visit, and a quick update.

First, I wanted to say how lovely, and inspiring everyones hair is looking :rockerdud Just absolutely beautiful!!! I am in awe as always.

So, I am no longer in the midwest, I now live in California (northern), we arrived here on Halloween  lol We moved for my husbands family, and to start a new business here (wine biz ) Things are going well, but I have to admit, a few new friends would make me so happy. Things just take time (as us patient long hairs know so well  )

My hair has suffered. I went through horrible stress selling our beautiful house, and leaving everyone dear to me. I can not even begin to tell you all how sad it was. The entire experience was a bit too overwhelming for me. However, I got through it, but my hair is showing the result of the stress. I can remember hearing stories of people on here, who went from their hair being VERY high on their list of priorities, to it no longer mattering, at all. I remember thinking "GOSH, that would never happen to me!" But, never say never, because it did.

I almost chopped it completely off on several occassions, and if it wasn't for hubby, I would have went through with it. I just stopped caring. It wasn't a hassel or anything, it just no longer mattered. I stopped using my satin pillow cases. (I still have them in storage :uhh: ) I started washing it in hot showers, ripping through it with my comb, and completely stopped my vitamins. I no longer protected it, or conditioned it, I did nothing "extra" for it like I used to. Not to mention, the stress alone made half of my hair fall out. I just wore it up. Even if it was never detangeled, I would pile it on my head, and wear it up.

Well, my signiture picture is of my old hair. I have slowly cut it, and now it is about elbow length. My hair grows fast, thankfully  . I have side swept bangs, and layers around my face. It doesn't look TOO bad, lol. I just am starting to want to get it looking it's best again. So here I am  Maybe I should start a journal? That might be just what I need.

Thanks for listening! :grouphug: Hugs to all!

Blessings,
Chloe :flower:

Welcome back. :flower: Oh wow, those are some big changes! I hope you feel a little more settled in now. Do you think returning to some familiar hair routines would make it feel like you haven't lost all of your *old* life? Please take some time to pamper yourself and shed some of the stress. A journal just might be the ticket, too.

It seems to me that you should set some time aside and pamper your hair. Glad the move is over and you can pop in now

:waving: Hi wb Chloe. Are you the one who described this gorgeous kind of layered cut you got that made people say you resembled Joss Stone? Or do I have you confused w/ someone else:thinking: Either way do the journaling and take it easy on that hair, and yourself:wink:,sounds like a very stressful couple of months. Your profile hair pic is so pretty btw.

Welcome back, Chloe! What a stressful time you've have :disbelief no wonder your hair lost priority.

I agree that getting back to old routines might be quite soothing, and I think a journal is a wonderful idea.

:flowers:

Take care of your self.

Cheers,
Dvips

Awww, thanks ladies :inlove: It's always nice to get a little simpathy, every now and then

Artista, I am in Napa Valley. I am not too familiar with the surrounding areas yet though, so I'm not sure exactly where you are located. I do love San Fransisco though. I try to get there every few weeks for the great shopping and everything else it has to offer. Last week when I was there, I found a really cool shop that has a great selection of really unique handmade hairtoys. :rockerdud Also, thanks for the compliment! :cloud9: It will be awhile, before I am there again.

Mestillaqt, :waving: Yup, that was me! After I lost a lot of hair, I regreted getting the layers. Which is why I ended up cutting off so much. However, it was a really great cut. I wish I had pictures  I just never found the time, or hubby was too busy. It seems rediculous now  , but I really regret not taking some, and I'm sorry, I wanted you to have a pic as well. Life was just really hectic for a while. I am going to try and spend more time here, and do a journal. Pampering my hair some, is definitly in my plans. Thanks sweeetie :flower:
