I just watched the Star Wars Ep. II on DVD last night (which I really only admittedly watch for the costumes) and there's a scene where Natalie Portman's character wears a really stunning hairstyle I'd like to duplicate, which you can see here:

That led me to remember other good "hair movies" (usually period movies, but occasional modern movies) where the characters have really great long hair...Practical Magic came to mind...Splash of course...

Pride and Prejudice has great hair.

I always like the original Star Wars -- the awards ceremony when princess leia has her hair down...

and there's a chinese director who did "raise the red lantern" and he always has beautiful long haired actresses in his movies

:twisted: my favorite is the lost boys. lots of hair. also hairspray i love ricki lakes style. well i like all of them really.

I like that style too. If you try the style, be sure to take a photo of it and show us! It is fun to try out new styles. :)

Practical Magic has the coolest hair! I liked Witches of Eastwick for hair too. That and the really long hair in the Cannon Ball Run movie. Heeeheeehee.

Oh! and princess bride!! love her hair!

well most recently I saw Stepford Wives and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid on AMC, both with Katherine Ross...and it's REAL hair too!

I love the pic in the link you posted too, I would love to try that hair style for fun. Now where to get those silver pony O's? ...

When I was a kid, I wanted hair just like Olivia Hussey's Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. Of course, considering that my hair is fine and blonde, I never looked like that. But, I did grow my hair long.

Best all around hair -- guys and girls -- The Lord of the Rings movies. Almost everyone in the movies has great hair, except for the orcs and Gollum. Even the silver haired wizards have magnificent hair.

As Merryrose mentioned above, Franco Zefferelli's Romeo and Juliet is awesome. The dance scene is full of ideas. I also want to make one of those lovely caps that Olivia wears in several scenes.
The Secret of Roan Inish, besides being a beautiful movie, also has some nice hair scenes .
Lord of the Rings has been the best that I have seen recently. Although I really loved Padme's hairstyle (Star Wars) in the picnic scene - with the headband and bun covers. Can you tell I am a historical style nut? :)

Elizabeth had some good hair -- until she had to shave it all off in the end :(

The new Gods and Generals has some great long hair. Watching Everafter and Little Women makes me hair happy too.

My personal favorites - Braveheart - the princess has fabulous hair! The scene where she stands by the edge of the lake (river, body of water, whatever) and says goodbye to William Wallace, after they've spent the night together....her hair is so long and pretty! The hair wraps she wears are great, too! The other favorite is First Knight. Julia Ormond has stunning hair in this movie, and wears it in some great styles (though I'm not sure exactly how historically accurate her clothes and hair are!)

No-one said 'Lara Croft Tombraider ' yet? Where's KT when you need her?

Ooo yes Braveheart! I love that movie. I still cry everytime I watch it :(

Another great one is A Knight's Tale (or is it A Knight's Story :confused:) I can't remember right now but every time I come across it on TV I have to sit down and watch it :D Such wonderful hair!
