Thanks, guys, for all your compliments on my GM treatment pics. :D You are very kind! I forgot to add Brent Jones’ website, so I wanted to add that here. I totally recommend him and his Silken Tresses (http://www.longhaircare.net) at Farlow’s Salon (http://www.fabuloushair.net). I did have a wonderful time there and after washing it last night, my hair really does feel wonderful - more resilient and stronger than before, if that makes sense.

A few of you asked questions, but because of this flat view, it’s very difficult (and time consuming) for me to scroll through all the posts again, and I wonder if you’d ever even see the answers I post to your questions! I know Steph is working on the threaded view (thanks, Steph!!! :D Is it ready? Huh? Huh? Huh? ;) ), but in the meantime I just wanted to acknowledge that I appreciate all your comments. This format is way less interactive for me, so I’m a bit frustrated in not being able to respond to each of you individually – and I’m not sure how I’m going to approach that. But, I must say that that is the only drawback to these new boards, but it’s a big one because I feel I’m not responding personally nearly as much as I used to. :( But I love you guys and will adapt somehow!

Thanks again for all the kind comments,

Avrilon

I TOTALLY understand, Av! Me too!

I miss not getting to respond to as many posts as I'd like to, but like you, I'll adjust! ;)

Hey AV!!
You are so very deserving of EVERY compliment given to you. :)

I hear ya about not being able to respond personally to each response within a thread. I feel the same way... I LOVE these boards too, but have the same problem as you when trying to respond. Hopefully Steph will figure something out. I feel bad even saying anything because I can't even imagine how much time and effort she has already put into this site for us.

Have a great day you CoverGirl!!!! :) :)

Hi Avi, You deserve every compliment. I think it was so good of you to take the time to have all the pictures taken and to post them for us. It was almost like being there :) Well almost lol. Someday I want to get the treatment too. Enjoy your great looking hair!

Yes, thanks for posting them Avrilon! It was almost like being there. Great step by step pix. I did get your reply to me! Thank you sweetie, for everything. (I bet Mike said OOOO, Lala!) :P

I really enjoyed your GM treatment photos. Thank you for sharing them. Your hair looked beautiful in both the before and after photos.

HI AVI!!!!! :D As you know, I LOVED your pictorial (I think we ALL did!!), and you are well-deserving of every compliment you received. I completely agree with your comments about the boards. I am starting to enjoy the many features, and, as always, Steph did an INCREDIBLE job (thank you, again, Steph!!!). But the flat format and inability to respond to individual posts drives me bonkers, too. I think it detracts from the warm feelings we could generate with the old platform, so I'm hopeful Steph will eventually weave some more of that magic she seems to always have up her sleeve (maybe it's little Jake giving her suggestions! ;) ). I'll put on my "patience cap" (hopefully it won't squash my hair down too much) and wait it out. Hugs to you!! :D

I just saw your photos for the first time and I just have to say, I don't think I know anyone who can make rollers look so good! LOL!!! What great pictures. Thank you so much for posting them. :)

And yes, I'm working on the threaded view. It's going to take a bit because there's so much code (completely different format), but I WILL get it for you guys.

You are one beautiful woman, Avrilon.

a little aside about being able to respond to people individually-

if you just wanted to say a quick "thank you for your nice compliment about my gm salon pictures, you made me smile", for example, you could use the "pm" (private message) button at the bottom of that person's post. i know you normally want to post for everyone to read, but in that kind of situation, i think a private message is fine. so a personal reply is possible (kinda a different version of the "thanks! n/m" post on the network 54 board)

just my thoughts, and i haven't actually used the pm function yet myself. hopefully it works :?

I can understand and can relate! I'm hoping Steph can iron out all the stuff too :D

Yes, Heather, that does work and I've started doing that . . . it DOES add warmth! ;) Thanks!

That is fantastic idea. I LOVE it that we can PM people!! Now that I'm sitting here posting more this evening, I'm really falling in love with this format to the point that I don't miss Net54 anymore!!!
GO STEPH!
