View Full Version : My ficcare pictures...

Below are my new ficcares - most are mediums with a few small. I did get one large honey marble ficcarismo. In the second picture the first two are large with the rest being mediums. The colors of the browns are not showing up too well - they look black.

I love your Millennium collection. I want the silver one second from the right. That will be after the holidays, but it is definitely on my to-buy list. You're a lucky gal!

Michelle, just what color IS that Millenium, the one next to the Beak? Almost looks like a swirly grey? I am having serious trouble beating the "green-eyed monster" back into his cave, I'll have you know!!!

Yep Icy Silver - gray and silver streaks. It is very lovely and goes with just about everything. I did however, notice a small chip on the side. I covered it over with clear fingernail polish and hope it doesn't get any worse. I have only had it a month and wore it maybe 3-4 times. I am seriously hoping I don't continue to have these types of problems because I will be extremely non-pleasant to Ficcare if this happens. I am already non too happy with the chip. It is obvious to me that they didn't seal the edges very well because it chipped from one of the edges. If they had sealed it well, that wouldn't have happened.

Beautiful collection! Thanks for sharing the pics; I always like seeing what the colors look like when not in the bright studio lighting used in their catalog pics. Very pretty indeed!
Note to self: move caramel and icy silver to top of ficcare must-have list

Michele, Call them and tell them about that chip. Mine have NEVER chipped like that. On one, I had to take a file and scrape-off a bit of "varnish" that had over-run and was a bit rough on the edge, to make it totally smooth. My experience with their clips has been more along the lines of "too MUCH finish", rather than "not enough". I'd let them know about it (it's a free call, afterall) and see if they want you to DO anything about it (like send it back for a new one? Wishful thinking, I know, but still...)

Icy Silver, then. I have the icy gold one (Birthday gift from Tbear) and the design looks more like straight lines on mine ; yours looks like swirls, almost like the honey-marble! VERY cool!

Yep you are right - I will call them. I know this is going to bug me until I do call them. We will see what they have to say. If they charge me more shipping I will just be forced to buy maybe 2-3 more clips in order to make the shipping charges worth it - female logic again  . Even my hubby laughed at that one. Seriously though - I know I am going to get more clips eventually and I am not going to pay shipping to simply replace one damaged clip.

Yeah, esPECIALLY since their base-shipping-price seems to hover around the TWELVE DOLLAR RANGE! (egads, that always bugs me, $12 for shipping "and handling", whatever that means! How much "handling" would I have to do in order to feel like I'd done twelve-bucks-worth? And would I have to smoke a cigarette afterwards? :silly: )

Let us know what you come up with...

ROFLMBO - that shipping is cigarette worthy isn't it? I will keep you updated as to how they handle this.

Wow! That's some collection! :disbelief

I'd wager that everyone viewing this thread is thinking one of two things:

a) OMG I'm sooooooo jealous!!! or,
b) This woman sure spends a lot of money on hairtoys!

Personally I'm kind of in group b) since I still can't convince myself that one Ficcare is worth the price tag, never mind a dozen, but obviously you're pleased so yay, go you! :rockerdud

Update on chipped Millennium - I called my contact at Ficcare and she said they will do an even exchange - no shipping charges. She gave me an "RA" number to reference. I will mail in the chipped one (I pay shipping - regular mail) and they mail a new one back. She asked if this was from my recent order and I said "no it is from my first one about a month ago... but I have only worn it like 3 times." There was no problem getting a replacement. I told her that the chip isn't visable when the clip is in my hair and if I knew the chip wouldn't get bigger I would keep it but I was afraid the chipped area would get bigger. Anyway, she was very polite (as usual) and I had no problem getting a replacement.

My favorite? All of them  . I can't really compare the Mills to the Maxes because they hold different types of updos.

Thanks =) - now I can't cut my hair short :spitting: - very good incentive to keep it long :inlove: .

I was very pleased that my exchange went so well - I was afraid it was going to be difficult and ruin my buying experience.
