They're something you buy kind of thru a MLM business, but don't necessarily have to be a seller. Someone in church gave me a book to review the products, and they do look good. She is a nurse, and the thing that made the biggest impression for me was all the nurses in her dept. use these products.

Anyone?

wife used them a few years ago...

Seemed bogus.

she had some friend selling that stuff....put maleleuca in everything....toothpaste even I think.... to hair stuff....to stuff for cleaning counters...

their whole business seemed like an Amway scam to me. (IMHO)....

though I must admit there product for sunburn was awesome.

Well, I know that regular tea tree oil has antibacterial and antifungal properties, among other things. I knew that before I heard of this company, so I believe it can be beneficial. This co. is the first time I heard of vitamins and other things including it. I am also aware of the chemicals in the standard products around us. I probably still have a "Clean & Green" book around somewhere describing the ills and hazards of some of our household products. And that scary list of cosmetic ingredients from Aubrey Organics.

I guess the reason I'm not dismissing it immediately is that I know this gal; I know the physical problems she has had in the past, that are now gone since she started using these products. And coming from her, it's not just "hot air and smokescreens" to make a sale, if you know what I mean. She's genuine.

Hi Wanita,

I am a regular user of the Jason brand Tea tree oil deoderant at our house we really like it. You can buy this brand at the grocery store. The only other Tea tree oil product I have used is the Jason version of the hot ice rub for sore muscles. It is also very good.

All I know about Melaleuca is that they use tea tree oil in their products. It probably cannot hurt to try them and see if you like them.

And LisaJaney too. The factory and warehouse and all that is right around here, so I can get the products easily. Although the cost is something else. We don't have a membership because I knew we wouldn't be buying as much as you need to buy every month. So we borrow the neighbor's membership number.

The shampoos and conditioners were not any better (ingredients) than other stuff. I believe it had the laurylth sulfates. So I haven't tried it. I like the laundry detergent, and the toothpaste and the teatree oil itself.

I wouldn't buy the protien drink or the vitamins. Read the label on the protein drink and its not as good quality as the stuff I get at the health food store.

I don't think I would use anything if I had to have it shipped to me.

be perfectly blunt. I live in Melaleuca land. It's a nice place to be, but I have been told by Melaleuca people that you cannot buy it unless you either sell it or become a member (which entails buying a certain dollar amount EVERY month).

I like the Melaleuca people because of who they think they are. HA! We have one guy that comes into our restaurant (Mel worker) and I asked him about just buying a few things. He said Ieither had to join the sales ranks or become a paying member. I declined. He comes in and thinks he owns the joint (attitude importante) and so I always "forget" what he normally orders, so he has to go through the whole thing with me like he's just some Joe Schmoe off the street. It's just because I am a little turd, passive-aggressive, getting my licks in when nobody's looking.

Bwahaha. Actually , the Mel stuff is supposed to be good, but *I* think that you can get Tea Tree oil (melaleuca oil) from any good brand and be fine. My mom tried their vits and thought they were worthless. She went back to Shaklee and is very happy with that.

Hugs,

Thanks for the replies. I forgot some of you live in "melaleuca land"! I found out that my neighbor still has a "membership", and she said if I wanted to try the products, I could order thru her and save the membership fee, plus the minimum order thingie.

I would miss having my own catalog, tho - I just looove catalogs. I can read them front to back, then back to front, making wish lists all the way. :P I was trying to not dog-ear the catalog the lady let me borrow!

OOOO catalogs!!!! Those and samples.......I love those things! I usually don't order from catalogs, just one or two at times, I always make wish lists and I horde samples! LOL!! Whenever I get a catalog in the mail, I am reading it for a couple of days all day! ;)
