View Full Version : I'm so utterly embarrassed!!

A few weeks ago I colored a picture from a Barbie coloring book. It was a picture of Barbie and Ken looking intently into each others eyes and Ken had a bouquet of roses for Barbie. Well, to me, it looked like Barbie had her hand inside of Ken's jacket suspiciously close to his crotch. I thought it was funny and so I colored the picture and made them look like me and DH. I gave Ken a long beard and made Barbie's hair really long and even gave her a portrait tattoo on her arm like mine. At the top of the page, it had said "Ken surprises Barbie with beautiful roses." But I crossed out Ken and put DH's name above it and I scribbled out the "ie" at the end of Barbie. So it read "Mike surprises Barb with beautiful roses". Then below that I added "and she shows her appreciation with a handjob".  It looked really funny and DH really got a kick out of it. I took it and folded it up and put it in the top drawer of my dresser and forgot about it.

**Fast forward to today**

My 5 yr old DD really likes her teacher and she loves to bring her little gifts. Today DD decided to bring her kindergarten teacher a picture. Yes..... she brought her the handjob picture!!

Here's the picture...
http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/5643/barbieken4id.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

Attached to it was this note from DD's teacher...

"Dear Mr. & Mrs. J****,
K*** gave me this picture this morning when she came to school. I was a little disturbed because of what it says. She said it is from her sister, but I just wanted to share it with you and maybe you can find out where this came from. Hopefully I will not be receiving something like this again. I did not want to hurt K***'s feelings by returning it, so I told her I wanted you both to see it then she can make a different one.
Sincerely, Mrs. R****"

Needless to say, I was completely mortified! I'm not sure why DD said it was from her sister (she's 15 months old, lol). DD doesn't have school until Monday, but I wrote this note for her to take to her teacher. I laid the blame on my 21 yr old niece!

"Mrs. R****,
I apologize for the picture you received. My niece (she's 21 yrs, old) was sitting for our dog on Saturday & Sunday while we went out of town. She colored the picture as a joke. I could have sworn that I threw that thing away, I'm not sure how it got into K***'s hands. I'm extremely embarrassed and I apologize deeply for this. I assure you that nothing like this will happen again. I told K*** that you sent it back because it had D***'s (that's my niece) name on it so you knew it belonged to her. I also told her not to take anything from home without asking. And I will be much more careful myself. I hope you accept my apology.

Sincerely,
Mrs. J***"

Is that one of the most embarrassing things you've ever heard or what!! I'm just sooo glad that DD can't read yet. I wonder if Mrs.R*** showed it to any of the other teachers. UGH!

Not to be crude, but thanks for the laugh!

You so have my twisted sense of humor! I love it!
I must say I would be mortified as well. I also would have put the blame on an innocent bystander  Well done!

Thank you for the smiles and giggles!

That is just to funny:spitting: . I am sure you were horrified. As far as stories go that you will someday share with your kids when they are grown up, that one is priceless.
Even funnier is imagining your daughters teacher when she saw the picture.
Can you imagine, "that's lovely dear now go sit down" . It must have been a real work out for her face. I have to go change my pants now because I just peed them.

OMG. I hate to say this but that teacher seriously needs to lighten up. She never jokes around with her husband/SO/whomever? By the handwriting, isn't it rather obvious that it could not have been written by a five-year-old (and certainly not a 15-month-old???). Good grief. Anyway, yes, I would have died at the time but probably laughed my butt off about it later. (Much later!) I understand that teachers need to be on the lookout for sexual abuse as well as other forms of abuse, but just look at the picture, look at the maturity of the handwriting (a hair above kindergarten, wouldn't you say?)...If this teacher really knows children, she'll know they get into EVERYTHING, and every parent has at least one incredibly embarrassing story from his or her child's growing-up years.

When I saw the picture I just laughed my rear off. I am so sorry...I know how badly you're feeling. As time goes by you'll feel better and I promise you, you'll laugh. For now you have my sympathies!

Based on many year's acquaintence with teachers, you only got that back after it had been photocopied!

I used to be a teacher (I'm better now) and once made the following, impressive but I believe AT THE TIME it all made sense, somewhat embarassing boo-boo in front of kids:

I was doing a long term cover job for a sick RE (= religious education in UK) teacher and in the yr9 (age 13/14) syallabus we'd covered Judaism and were doing Islam. One of my year 9 classes is a very high ability top set, over 75% girls, very able, very interested. OK. So you can't do Judasim and Islam without mentioning circumsision, fine. Anyway, one fine afternoon they're working away and we're chatting like we did and all is well. At this point a thought pops into my head: we're supposed to be discussing wider issues, social problems, etc - this lot are probably from articulate guardian-reading households - probably quite informed about things going on - importance of religious tolerence - etc - they might well have heard about the campaigns against female circumsision - I'll flag up the fact that is is cultural rather than male circumsison which is religious..... OK, in retrospect ...... So there I am faced with a group of 13/14 year old girls who've never heard of female circumsision but whose curiostity is now well and truly engaged about the whole idea. Ho Hum, and where do we go now......

In the end I parried it by answering J's (I can even remember her face) question of "Sir, what do they cut off?" with "OK, all I'll say is think 'sown up', now lets move on!" Mind you I think I could have got 25 girls to sign a petition against the practice on the spot!

I know you are feeling mortified now but in time I'll bet the story gets funnier and funnier. If your oldest is just in kindergartin then this is just the beginning of embarrassing incidents. Yes there will be more to come :spitting: Wasn't it Art Linkletter who said "kids say the darndest things"?

Judging from the times I've been around her and the notes and letters she sends home... she seems kinda uptight IMO. My oldest is in 3rd grade and all of the teachers he has had so far have been much more laid back than DD's. My oldest actually says he doesn't like DD's teacher because she would always snap at him to get to his own class when he used to walk DD to her class in the morning. She walks on her own now but at the start of the school year she wanted him to go with her.

If it were me I would have been showing all the teachers in the teacher's lounge and having a good laugh. But I have a feeling she didn't find it so funny. I'm moving to Missouri in a couple of months so I won't have to face her for too much longer. lol! I would have had quite a few more years at this school probably being known among the school staff as the handjob lady or something.

I have told everyone I know about this one! It's just too funny. My sister told me I should sell the pic on ebay and tell the whole story. I have seen some very funny things on there that actually did pretty well. HMMM... :ponder:

(giggles) Arnt kids grand when it comes to things like that. Let's see if I can cheer you up. Since my son has been in the 1st grade he has told his teacher my husband drinks a lot of beer , that he always has beer. and now he makes beer so now she prob thinks he is a drunk and we are running a stil . he told her that me and him are always fighting and wrestling, so now she thinks he is a women beater. LOL and all it was we had a party and my hubby was drinking beer like 6 that whole day and he dosent make beer he makes wine . And as for the fighting we always goof around even with the kids never ever have hit out of anger. I think it will be fun when I have to go to parent teacher conference. I just laugh and try to tell my son to stop sharing family life with his teacher LOL

Don't feel bad at all. I've heard children as I was walking by (I think in 1st grade, they looked extremely little), and they were saying to each other who wants to suck his but, if he sucks her but, he can feel my nipple! And then the kids started laughing and saying ill, your nasty, and they were making disgusting "moaning sounds." Children are not what they used to be. If I were you however, I would talk with my daughter figure out if she knows what the writing in the picture means. I know, I am in shock because it's just crazy how children can pick up all kinds of things.

It is a rather suggestive pose isn't it?

I'm definitely saving that pic for DD to see when she's an adult. She goes back to school tomorrow and I'm sending the note I wrote with her. I wonder what her teacher will think. I actually have to go to the school tomorrow for DS's play. That ought to be fun! lol! If I see some of the teachers pointing and laughing in my direction I'll assume the pic was shared.
