:inlove: :inlove: :inlove:

I have just received my new 3-tone Fall Color Ficcare Maximii (cute plural, rhymes with "WEEEE!") :hollie: And I love them!

The colors aren't as bright as in the catalog: the red clip has berry red shades, the mocha one has real coffee shades, and there is a bigger difference between 3 colors of lavender clip. I think they are even more beautiful than in the picture and go really well with my hair color. :inlove:

Now all I have to do is to figure out how to wear three large clips in one hairstyle... :silly:

DOH!!! i will have to order them after all!! in your honest opinion,: is the red a warm red or cold as on the catalog (meaning just less bright but not brownish either)?? i wanted to order the red, lavender and turquoise one.

I'm having problems with my digicam again, so I can't post pictures yet. :(

Styg: It's 3 tone clip, and in my opinion two darker shades are bright (medium red) based and third shade is cool. I'd call the colors from darkest to lightest: deep crimson/ cranberry red, dark raspberry red (almost bright red), and dusky rose pink (fairly dark pink).
I don't think the colors are brownish- just less bright and the lightest (dusky pink) color is more salient than in the catalog picture.

Hope this helps!

For other clips the exact colors IMO are:

Mocha: Dark chocolate/coffee brown, milk chocolate, cafe au lait

Lavender: deep lilac, pearlized cool medium lilac, periwinkle lilac/bright medium lilac

All clips have gold stripes/ background color.

I'm former illustrator, so unless I'm mistaken with English terms, I dare to say that these definitions are fairly accurate.

Where do you get a ficcare catalogue?

Thanx for the photos! How cool are they? :cloud9: My favorite color is purple, and now I'm lusting after the tri-color purple one. I wonder if they sell these on HeadGames. I haven't gotten any new Ficcare catalogs in the mail, darn it.

Thanks for posting pictures, wow, what a difference from the catalog. I can see, though, why some have been a bit disappointed. The variations between warm and cool shades just wouldn't work for me either. I wish that the colors showed up more precisely in the catalog.

Hmm...

I've been tempted by the lavender 3-tone, but the picture looks as if the colors are more muted than I'd want.

I'm still not sure on the red - in the top pic, it looks more orange-red, in the bottom, it looks more blue-red. Which is the true shade?

Thanks for the photo's!
Wow, that's a lot of difference with the catalog, can't they publish the 'real colours' ?

About the colors: In my opinion, trollkjerring's pictures show quite well the difference between lighter pink stripe compared to red stripe- that doesn't really show much in the catalog. Otherwise, the colors in the photos aren't exactly true colors either (though they are definitely better than catalog pictures :flowers:). Color of the lavender clip is IMO closer to reality than color of the red one. At the moment, I think that verbal color description in my previous post is still most accurate description of the red clip.

 I can't believe how beautiful and expensive these are!! I have never paid $40 for ANYTHING hair related! Maybe I'll ask for one for christmas. Can you ever find these things on ebay. I searched for one, but nothing showed up. Any tips?
