View Full Version : What type of leave-in do you use?
Tresses November 15th, 2005, 06:39 PM OK, I've searched and found polls about whether or not we use leave-ins, but did not find one specifically about type.
I'm debating my own need for a "conditioner" leave-in after a few weeks of straight shea butter bliss. :inlove:
So, just what do you leave in your hair after you wash? Feel free to post comments.
snowbear November 15th, 2005, 06:48 PM I picked the all-powerful cheese answer. I use Dove's Smooth & Soft Anti-Frizz Cream, in all its synthetic-y goodness.
physicschick November 15th, 2005, 07:09 PM I voted no leave-in, but sometimes I have residual EVOO from my prewash oiling left in. :D (It's actually not bad on DD1 hair but makes my DD2 hair kind of weird.) Also, I used to have very good results from not rinsing out all of my conditioner (Neutrogena Clean conditioner, lots of cones). Since I try not to touch my hair or rake anything through it while it's wet, my leave-ins are limited to stuff I didn't wash out thoroughly.

cruztacean November 15th, 2005, 07:13 PM My hubby's favorite, Mane "n Tail, can be used either as a rinse-out or as a leave-in. I cannot use his Mane 'n Tail 'poo or 'dish on a regular basis, but when I need a leave-in, it fills the bill.
Chocolate Locks November 15th, 2005, 07:18 PM I use different things at different times. Sometimes I use jojoba with aloe vera gel, sometimes a leave in conditioner. At the moment I'm using Humectress with excellent results although I also have some Paul Mitchell The Conditioner which I like, The Body Shop Amlika leave-in and a couple of Pantene products which I'm taking a rest from at the moment.
Maela November 15th, 2005, 07:51 PM Half the time I don't use a leave-in and the other half of the time I put Jojoba in my hair.
MerryKat November 15th, 2005, 08:47 PM I use a leave in of EVOO with Lavender and Tea Tree in it - I usually mix it with a bit of aloe and glycerine. I use it as a leave in and as and when I need it between washes.
MariaAZ November 15th, 2005, 08:59 PM Like Chocolate Locks, I use different things at different times. I have a spray bottle filled with water and a couple teaspoons of rinse-out condish and a few drops of jojoba & EOs that I use when my ends feel dry (which is just about every day.) I occasionally use Garnier's anti frizz therapy, which is a leave-in.
Blondie71 November 15th, 2005, 09:24 PM I voted no leave in.. I cant find a leave in that doesn't weigh my hair down and make it look yucky.. It seems that everything is too heavy. I have a lot of hair but its fine in texture..
Susan D. November 15th, 2005, 09:31 PM I am in absolute love with my shea butter, but sometimes I'll use EVOO instead (like on especially hot, dry days). I've been putting shea butter on my 4-year-old DD, and she loves it, too. It makes her hair much easier to detangle. (And when you have a 4 year old who has hair long enough to sit on, detangling is a Real Big Issue.)
juri November 15th, 2005, 09:53 PM I use shea butter about every other day. I tried oils, but they didn't do anything for my hair except make it crunchy.
Snowymoon November 15th, 2005, 10:02 PM Great poll! I have not voted yet, as I have not decided what I will be using. I have recently discovered that rinse-out conditioners build up on me and leave me with problems. That said, I have gone without for a while now, and my hair is doing better. Eventually I plan on trying some jojoba, perhaps aloe gel once again and shea butter. Not sure I will end up with anything, though, as my hair is also fine and weighs down easily. I will be back to vote when I settle on something.
Ria November 16th, 2005, 02:48 AM I had to vote cheese because Jarlsberg is my favorite one
I am still experimenting with leave ins at the moment. Sometimes I end with a tea rinse and then don't add anything else, sometimes I use a bit of Aloe as a leave in. Both works fine (some tangles on the tea) but I will continue to experiment.
hairfitness101 November 16th, 2005, 03:07 AM I voted regular leave-in. I can't survive without leave-ins, otherwise I look like carrot top. :scared: I have super fine hair and have just converted to Giovanni ( as my siggy says) Great stuff! And for the other super fine hairs, I water it down in a spray bottle- 2oz water to 1 tsp. direct leave-in and whalla! Detangler and moisture for those ends.
I do like to spritz with flower waters through out the day as well.
zule November 16th, 2005, 03:56 AM I voted the cheese, because I make a big mess. First, I use some of my regular conditioner on the ends. Then I add aloe vera. The next morning, when everything is dry, I oil. So my ends are well fed.
SmallVoice November 16th, 2005, 04:10 AM The oils/butters change but I've been pretty consistent with my MegaTek scalp leave-in. But I'm not using that on the length.
butterfly29 November 16th, 2005, 04:15 AM I use Garnier leave-in. I think it's the long and strong? Not sure as I don't have the bottle here, but I love it!:cloud9:
XTINY November 16th, 2005, 04:15 AM I use aussie leave in sometimes. Also sometimes a mix of aloe water and bpal.
bowie November 16th, 2005, 04:17 AM I have been using Devacurl One Condition in SacRed. A blob of it scrunched and rubbed through a few times per week....especially rainy days.
moongrrl November 16th, 2005, 04:26 AM I usually use either Eqyss Avocado mist or Garnier Long and Strong Treatment as leave-ins, so I voted regular leave-in. I'd like some Jarlsberg, though. :)
silencepainter November 16th, 2005, 04:42 AM I voted "Oil/butter with or without added EOs" But I also use a bit of aloe. :)
mithrinne November 16th, 2005, 04:50 AM Once or twice a week I put a few drops of jojoba oil on my hair when it's still wet. It works wonders for dry ends!
And if I want to enhance my curls I also use some aloe vera gel.
lonestargal November 16th, 2005, 05:06 AM I haven't voted yet because I'm still trying to find the right one. Currently I'm using Giovannit Direct but the last couple washes it feels like my hair is REALLY coated with something. I've tried using less and less to where I'm barely putting anything on. I've tried shea butter and it leaves my hair feeling nasty, oils don't do anything, and aloe just gums up my haif. If I just leave it and put nothing on, then my hair is VERY dry and tangly and frizzy. I'm beginning to think my hair needs some kind of cones but I don't know. This is a good thread, maybe I can get some ideas.
LilyAnn November 16th, 2005, 05:28 AM I voted regular leave-in (although I may switch over to making my own when these run out  ) I currently rotate between 3- Giovanni Direct, Beauty Without Cruelty Revitilize, and Giovanni Spray in (Vitapro Fusion). I tend to use the spray type the most because it is easy to apply and doesn't make it take even longer for my hair to dry.
I think a leave-in is a nesscity for me; I forgot to use one the other day and I had a lot of frizz and poof going on. I have tried aloe & jojoba and it made my hair a greasy mess :( But I like the three I am using now!
sugaplum November 16th, 2005, 05:34 AM I use Elasta Qp's H-Two Leave-In. It is the best after my CO washes. :)
saracuda November 16th, 2005, 06:21 AM I voted Jarlsberg! I don't use a leave-in. I'm really happy with my routine. Sometimes, I use jojoba on the ends, but that's about it. I have a strange question, though. I read about people loving shea butter, and it got me to wondering about regular butter. Has anybody tried regular eating butter on their hair? I'd be willing to be the first to try, but I have no idea how to get it out. I didn't pay very much attention to the oiling threads. Whaddaya think?
naomimcc November 16th, 2005, 06:25 AM I use a shine serum or defrizzer:
St. Ives
Fructic
Laanza Be Long
Biosilk
I have quite a few...my hair :inlove: 'em.
Leisha November 16th, 2005, 09:38 AM I use shea-butter leave-in (has some other stuff mixed in, got it from longhair.be, it's very good) and sometimes aloe vera
yseult November 16th, 2005, 09:44 AM hmmm... I use a couple.... and I've been experimenting. On wash days, it's Giovanni Direct right before post-shower detangling. Then some shea butter on the ends.
On non-wash days, misting with my own goop (water, AVG, condish, glycerin, jojoba) and shea butter on the ends.
allege November 16th, 2005, 09:47 AM Currently its a mix of unrefined cocoa butter and unrefined shea butter.
Rain November 16th, 2005, 09:54 AM I voted for regular leave-in but that's not the full answer. I used to use BWC's leave-in before they changed the formula. I love CurlyBrunette's SIAS leave-in but I don't have any right now. I have used Jessicurl's rinse-out conditioners as leave-in. Elucence conditioner can be rinsed out or left in and I've used it both ways. Right now, I'm using Boots Curling Cream as leave-in. It's basically a conditioner with a little hold. I've tried using pure shea butter as leave-in in the past but I can't remember why I quit doing it.
Love Long Hair November 16th, 2005, 10:01 AM i voted no leave in
i do have a spray bottle of purified water with a drop of my favorite condish in it that i use occasionally.( mostly for my daughter's hair thoug since i only wash hers once a week)
i rarely use a drop of tea tree oil except right before a deep treatment
Lora November 16th, 2005, 11:21 AM Currently I don't use a leave in conditioner. I guess as my hair gets longer I'll be using it. I should be using it on my 10 year old's hair though. She's 3b f/ii.
Adrienne November 16th, 2005, 11:34 AM The leave in that I use is not really a "leave in" Its more like a styling gel,
Proclaim Curl & wave conditioning Activator Gel,
Ingredients- Water, Glycerine, aloe barbadensis leave juice, propylene glycol, triethanolamine, carbomer, hydrolyzed wheat protein, methylparaben, fragrance, diazolidinyl urea, dmdm, hydantoin
restores moisture, helps prevent breakage, makes curl POP right NOW!!
ok so the part about the curls poping is right, and it does make my hair pretty soft. and as far as i know i have not been haveing any breakage
TessieAnn November 16th, 2005, 12:24 PM Many years ago I used a leave-in detangler from Avon. So long ago they probably don't even make it any more.
For most of my life my very thin, fine hair has been very oily. I rarely used any conditioner at all, let alone a leave-in because it weighed down my hair.
TessieAnn
redpenny November 16th, 2005, 12:57 PM I usually put a little VO5 Free Me Fresia from my ears down concentrating on the ends. Once my hair has dried, I put one or a mix of some of these: EVOO/jojoba oil/coconut oil/vitamin E oil/shea butter on my hair and scalp concentrating especially on the ends.
ChloeDharma November 16th, 2005, 01:50 PM I put "Regular Leave-In" but i could only vote for one. Really i use the regular leave in (Andrew Collinge Heat Defense Styling Spray specially for long hair) but after washing i most times use Frizz Ease serum. I also use Jojoba oil sometimes and aloe vera gel. I try to mist my hair daily with the spray, that normally does a good enough job on it's own. But the Jojoba and Aloe are excellent when my hair just point blank refuses to be nice to me!
hairfitness101 November 16th, 2005, 02:14 PM I was just checking out the "Kiss my Face" website and came upon the "Kiss Kids" natural detangler. Has anyone here tried this, either on yourself or your child? If so, what did you think of it? Thanks.

SunCat November 16th, 2005, 05:41 PM I voted oil/butter, I use a mixture of aloe vera gel, jojoba oil, and hemp seed oil, I also use a mixture of coconut oil and shea butter with a drop or two of lavender EO.
Rene' November 16th, 2005, 06:44 PM I've just recently started using shea butter. I really like it. Before I did not use a leave-in, but in the last few months my ends got really crunchy and dry. So I've started only washing the ends once a week - and even then I don't really wash them, I just get them wet and let the shampoo run over them. Then I condition and rinse that and then I use shea butter. After just two weeks my ends are looking so much better.
Saar November 17th, 2005, 06:53 AM I use shea butter as leave-in. In th summer, I choose regular leave-ins or sprays.
Tresses November 17th, 2005, 03:55 PM Wow! Thank you, everyone, for your great replies! (Keep'em comin'! )
I must say I'm surprised by the results. I did not expect the oils/butters category to be running neck-n-neck with the regular leave-ins (let alone to be leading the poll, as it is right now).
My apologies to all of the aloe users! I must confess that that ingredient didn't even cross my mind when I started the thread. I really ought to keep my posting to earlier in the evening.
Soooo.....75 people have voted. What do the rest of the 5,000 of you use?
sahasralah November 17th, 2005, 04:15 PM I've tried a few different things including Nexus and Infusium-23, and found that I really didn't seem to need them that much.
At the moment, I've had pretty good results using Biosilk Silk Therapy as a leave-in. I'm currently trying alternating day 1 = wash / condition (no cones), day 2 = water rinse only. Air dry and at some point put some of the Biosilk through it. Right now my hair is still pretty short (7.5"), and gets oily very quickly, so I don't need much beyond the usual conditioning.
carameldiva November 17th, 2005, 07:44 PM i use a mixture of glycerin, water, aloe juice, and rosemary oil as a spritz. i also have 911 emergency leave-in on hand.
Athena's Owl November 17th, 2005, 10:21 PM lately I've been using the hair butter that I made on my ends, and Paul mitchell The Detangler on the whole thing in combination. I could probabyl get away with just using the butter, but I haven't tried that yet.
oh, but it is hair-washing time. *tempted*
CalmSpirit November 19th, 2005, 11:01 AM I recently started using Daily Doctor again. It gets a little sticky so I calm it down with Coconut oil.
Dulci November 19th, 2005, 11:35 AM I use regular leave-in conditioner. Always always! omg, I can't imagine NOT using a leave-in. ::shudders:: :scared:
Like Rain, I used to use and love Beauty Without Cruelty's leave-in before they reformulated, now it is sticky. :? Giovanni Direct is ok, but builds up on me quickly.
I recently swapped and got Bumble & Bumble leave-in, and I love it as much as I did a few years ago! I've used it twice now, I'm thrilled so far. :inlove:
I don't use a leave-in daily, I apply it only to dripping wet hair. I wash about every four days or so.
I have tried using various oils/butters as leave-in, doesn't work for me. Sticky, tangly, velcro, eventually crunchy.
hairfitness101 November 19th, 2005, 04:17 PM Dulci, you have amazing hair! I hope when my hair grows up, it will be like yours.:silly:
Is the Bb leave-in all natural? I went on their site but couldn't find the list of ingredients. Is it something you can find in health food stores? I like the Giovanni Direct leave-in but only after washing. I need something for between washes, preferrably no cone. Thanks for any info.
Dulci November 19th, 2005, 06:07 PM Dulci, you have amazing hair! I hope when my hair grows up, it will be like yours.:silly:

Thank you so much for the compliment! :: blushing ::
Nope, the B&B is not all natural at all. It has no cones, but plenty of other bad stuff (like parabens and propylene glycol). It works though! Ever since BWC changed formulations, I have been desperate to find something that works, I've got my fingers crossed that the B&B will do the trick. Too bad it doesn't make my hair as shiny as the BWC.
drugstore.com recently started carrying B&B products (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=89279&catid=11938&trx=GFI-0-MWS&trxp1=11938&trxp2=89279&trxp3=1&trxp4=1&btrx=BUY-GFI-0-MWS), here are the ingredients :
Water (Aqua), Cetyl Alcohol, Sambucus Nigra Flower Extract (Elder), Wheat Germ Glycerides, Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetrimonium Bromide, PEG-100 Stearate, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Lactamide MEA, Propylene Glycol, Citric Acid, Tetrasodium EDTA, Methylparaben, Polymethoxy Bicyclic Oxazolidine, Propylparaben, Fragrance (Parfum)
It is a white lotion consistency with a faint, fresh, mild scent. Don't laugh, but the scent reminds me of...toothpaste!
hairfitness101 November 19th, 2005, 06:16 PM Thank you so much for the info. I'm a leave-in fanatic so I know where you're coming from. Must be a "curly thing."
Dulci November 19th, 2005, 06:23 PM Thank you so much for the info. I'm a leave-in fanatic so I know where you're coming from. Must be a "curly thing."
YES, leave-in fanatic here too LOL. Otherwise look out! :silly:
You said you wanted something to use daily, between washes. I have never tried it, but Giovanni also has a spray leave-in don't they? Or is it a detangler? :ponder:
hairfitness101 November 19th, 2005, 06:32 PM Are you talking about the vita-pro fushion? Its a protein filled repair type deal. I just bought it the other day. It kind of reminds me of "magic bullet" but without the cones.
I tried it both ways, between washes and after washing. It works great for after washing, just like "direct" but I'm not crazy about it between washes. What I really need is a detangler/light leave-in to keep my hair in line every day and something for that dreaded morning hair. Something I can spritz on through out the day without it looking like its greasy, but enough conditioning to make a difference.
I was thinking of trying KissKids(by Kiss my Face) detangler but nobody seems to carry it. I'll have to get it online if I get it at all. The ingredients aren't listed on the website either. So I dunno at this point. Its only 5$ before shipping though, so if I get a few other of their things, it shouldn't be too much. I also saw on another thread, shea moisture shea leave-in, which looks like more of a cream? Regular shea was too much for me too so this one sparked my interest. I don't know where to start first.:uhh:

Fia November 21st, 2005, 02:35 AM Regular leave-in. Biosilk Silk Therapy has been my staple for many years. Right now I'm trying out GM's Detangler spray to see how it works - good results so far.
AngelsWatchOver November 21st, 2005, 02:41 AM I have been using shea butter or cocoa butter most of the time, whenI dont feel like waiting for the butter to melt I use a little regular conditioner watered down in a spray bottle. I guess I just havent got around to buying a leave in yet.
Meezer November 21st, 2005, 03:16 AM I'm not a frequet user of leave-in conditioners, as I find that my hair doesn't really need them. However, when I do use a leave-in most of the time it's just a pea sized amount of my regular conditioner.
Carolyn November 21st, 2005, 10:50 AM Right now I'm using mostly oils as a leave in. But I still sometimes use a commercial leave in or something I mix up. I love Fox's shea butter leave in. Sometimes I mix up something with Biosilk. I like Kiehls leave ins too.
Speedbump November 21st, 2005, 02:25 PM I use SIAS! I wasn't sure if it would be considered butter with EOs or regular leave-in, but since I'm not making it myself, I called it "regular."
Speedy
nsanders November 22nd, 2005, 02:48 PM I am always trying new products. Lately, I have been using Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave In Cream. And, I really like it so far.
lookingglass December 28th, 2005, 05:39 PM I'm trying out shea right now. I haven't been using a leave in, just gel (yeah, I have long hair, but I AM a newbie here!). So far, so good!
Chase December 28th, 2005, 06:26 PM I use leave in conditioners very rarely, if I feel I need more conditioning I would rather do a light oiling.
Pierre December 28th, 2005, 06:29 PM I use jojoba oil or an oil mix I make containing 1/coconut, jojoba, and shea, with various EO blends depending on what I feel like smelling.
groque December 28th, 2005, 06:49 PM I voted conditioner. It always works well for me, I guess. I always use other products for definition and frizz control. Should I be looking for a leave-in?
sandrak December 29th, 2005, 03:46 AM I use water mixed with a little olive oil and sweet almond oil. I spray this on my hair everyday. My hair seems softer and easier to comb.
Eowyn December 29th, 2005, 04:00 AM I use different things at different times. If I'm using Nexxus products, I usually leave a little Humectress or Keraphix in my hair without rinsing it out. I also use Fox's shea butter leave in, Evan's Garden hair pomade, and sometimes I mix conditioner and oils in a spray bottle with some water and use that.
I have also used Paul Mitchell's super charged conditioner as a leave in.
Adeye December 29th, 2005, 06:40 AM I voted regular leave in, but I actually use a variety of products/oils. Right out of the shower, I alternate between Giovanni Direct Leave-In and SheaMoisture Shea Butter Leave In Conditioner. But by the second or third day, I usually need some pure unrefined shea butter on the ends. The day before wash day, I somtimes do a heavy pre-wash shea treatment. Sometimes I use jojoba - it makes it feel soft, but not as moisturized as the shea.
butterflydreams December 29th, 2005, 08:03 AM I have just discovered Sebastian potion no.9. I don't know how I missed hearing about this leave in. It has jojoba, safflower, macadamia, babassu, borage, evening primrose, & rosehip oils. It is not greasy or heavy and all I need is a smidgen to do the job. It softens my hair like no other. I have kicked my old leave-ins to the curb! It smells divine from the lemongrass and my hair is on :cloud9:
1953Diygal December 29th, 2005, 08:10 AM I've been alternating lately between Oyin Greg Juice and Bumble & Bumble leave-in. The Greg Juice needs some time to soak in, and I'm not wild about the glycerin (makes my hair kinda sticky), but I LOVE the B&B. Works like a dream!
lapushka December 29th, 2005, 08:13 AM I mostly used to use Dove leave-in. I tried using a local store brand but that didn't work out. Yesterday, for the first time, I tried regular conditioner as a leave-in (Inecto) and that worked like a charm. I don't think I'll be buying leave-in anymore. What ever for! I think you really just have to find the conditioner that your hair accepts as a leave-in. Trial and error. Inecto does wonders for my hair anyway, so I'm not surprised it functions well as a leave-in also!
hairfitness101 December 30th, 2005, 02:07 PM I have just discovered Sebastian potion no.9.
Butterflydreams, is this a protein type leave-in or a moisturizing leave-in.? I tried to find out some info on it but all I could find out was that it was a vitamin treatment or "hair food" and no list of ingredients. Would you mind going through the trouble of either listing the ingredients or adding a link if you have one for it? Thanks a bunch. I'm really interested in trying this one.
pkuyken December 30th, 2005, 02:25 PM I rotate my leave ins - the current rotation is either Redken Addictive All Soft, Long hair lovers 3 in 1 Leave in , and Fekkai Technician Gloss.
When I run out of the Fekkai, I will either replace it with Phyto 9 or Sebastion Potion #9, based on past experience.
My hair just does better when I rotate products.
CircesButterfly December 31st, 2005, 09:04 AM I use regular conditioners as a leave-in but I do switch back and forth between them. I have a variety of Suave Conditioners but lately I've been using the Suave Humectant (Suave's version of Nexxus Hemectruss) or Suave Daily Moisture. Since I've started using these - my curls have been really loving the extra moisture. :inlove: :rockerdud
DMARTINEZ December 31st, 2005, 09:23 AM I use a smidgen of Giovanni direct, add to that a teeny amount of jojoba in
my palm with the Giovanni, then I spay a bit of distilled water in the palm and
voila, I have a nice watery, slippery leave in that so far has worked excellent!
I swear by it!
Deb
Rini January 2nd, 2006, 12:53 AM Nothing fancy....just plain old boring aloe vera gel :)
Miriela January 2nd, 2006, 01:14 AM The only leave-in I've ever used is just regular leave-in -- Garnier Fructis Long and Strong. But I've mostly been lazy and haven't used any for a while.
Lisbeth January 2nd, 2006, 01:14 AM I use a couple of drops of jojoba oil every day or every second day, depending on how my hair is behaving. I'm going to go out and buy some shea butter to exeriment with tomorrow.
Alley Cat January 2nd, 2006, 01:23 AM I didn't vote as there wasn't a choice for a home made mix, or just a oil without butter or conditioner .
I sometimes put in sweet almond oil, and I made my first home made leave in yesterday. It is a mixture of aloe vera gel, conditioner, sweet almond oil, and lavender oil smells yummy
ladiosaRosa January 2nd, 2006, 12:21 PM I voted cheese, but more like a horseradish cheddar, swiss or brie.
Ok, that being said, being relatively new to TLHC, I've discovered a whole new world of leave-ins; things I never would have come up with myself. I used to do Paul Mitchell, but never consistantly and then I discontinued use.
Now, I'm enamored of shea butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil, aloe vera juice and gell just to name the ones I can remember at this moment. I've used all of these just to "try" and am working on learning when any specific leave-in is necessary for a particular need I have.
pennylane February 20th, 2006, 04:27 PM I have just found in the health food shop Alchemy Lavender&Anthyllis 24 Hours Intensive Moisture Leave-In Conditioner For Normal, Dry &Texture Hair and I'm loving it!! Perfect for my hair, paraben and sulfate free , not too strong a fragance, Yummy!!!!!. For reference I have 2c 3a , m/c ,lll.
snarkylyn February 20th, 2006, 06:49 PM I'm still experimenting. Before LHC, I was using Dove Smooth & Soft anti-frizz. It didn't really make me happy, but my hair was in poor condition. It did add softness, but nothing helped that freakin' frizz until SMT.
Now, after SMT, I put a little fractionated coconut oil in it. I'm going to order some shea butter, and see what I can concoct...
Mama D February 20th, 2006, 08:35 PM Aloe vera gel! It seems to add a bit of shine and smoothness to my straight hair. I'd like to try coconut oil, but haven't bought any yet.
Rose_Red February 21st, 2006, 02:04 AM I'm still in the experimental phase with leave-ins. I have been using Alchemy leave-in, but have a nice stash of other things to try - aloe vera gel, shea butter, Jojoba oil, glycerine and coconut oil.
I've been experimenting without using a leave-in at all (just misting with very diluted Alchemy leave-in) and my ends have been crunchy. Time to go back to the drawing board!
Sara February 21st, 2006, 01:30 PM Right now, I'm using a Pantene leave in. I do like the way my hair feels when I use a leave in, and I'm going to try other leave in's when I run out my Pantene.
Jewell February 21st, 2006, 02:19 PM I use Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave In Cream, as well as Motions Nourish Leave-In and Dabur Vatika Oil. I put NTM Healing Shine Serum on the ends.
ncurls February 23rd, 2006, 09:27 AM I use regular conditioners as leave-ins. Mostly Nexxus Ensure or Elucence Moisture Balance Conditioner. The Ensure gives springy curls and the MBC adds lots of moisture and softness to my hair.
Zopf February 23rd, 2006, 01:13 PM I use leave-in cond. :inlove:
winter February 23rd, 2006, 08:52 PM I use REDKEN Strenght Anti-Breakage, and it works very good for me. I also oil every now and then, to rehydrate my ends.
