Do you read fark.com too?
I saw that same story listed there and nearly died laughing. Those poor people trying to hide from the aliens have no hope now.

Hon, we all know that is not an official LHC party hat, so nothing to worry about. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y284/LadyGodiva1078/smileys/updown.gif

On the other hand, what better way to lightly cook your brain without the use of cholesterol-laden fats? :ponder:

Ewww!!! :puke:
Have you been talking to my Hubbs again, esme? One of his favorites sayings (he's a huge horror flick fan): "I'm going to take your brain, boil it, and make up it into a soup." Um, yeah- sounds delish. Now I can tell him he can just lightly foil steam it instead. :silly:

So um, what is the official party hat? Is it my concotion of purple saran wrap and an old towel? Cause that is an awesome hat. Keeps heat in

No but seriously. What am I going to wear now?

Those people at MIT sure must have a lot of spare time... (I know for a fact that you should never leave people with brains extra time on their hands, they do things like set stuff on fire in the name of combustion physics)

Oh this is sooo true. Like the time my brother in law (chemist) used the words "what's so bad about teaching teen boys how to blow things up"

I guess I must now retire my tin foil hat and find a better way to keep "the man" from reading my thoughts.

:spitting: At one time we had a serious problem with that at our house.

So THAT'S what those voices are.

(*phonetics geek alert* Actually, the numbers look big, but 30 dB at 1.5 GIGA Hertz? Not that impressive.)

Now that was a good one, Speedbump. I now wonder though if it may improve cellular reception.....

When I get done with a highlight, I always tell my customers, "hey... this will also protect you from the alien voices!"

Oh no, no, no! Everyone knows that metals are good conductors, not protectors! Why would you ever put tin foil on your head? That would only amplify things! Everyone also knows that you must make a thick concrete, brick or mud hat to block out brain-invading radio waves! Of course, you may wind up with a neck ache after wearing a concrete hat for a while, but at least your thoughts will be safely your own...mUAHAhahahAHAHA! :silly:

ETA: But wait! Why is it that when you go into a metal building you lose your cell phone signal? Perhaps there is something to that after all...hmmmm! :face:

 Ah...

So all I have to do is keep henna on my head constantly and voila! No aliens stealing all my great thoughts and ideas. :silly:

Anyone for a foil-hat party? Chianti and aluminium fezzes with the lights low, while we talk about The Powers That Be.... :jestor:

I always knew that tinfoil idea wouldn't work. I put one of the cats on my head and they swat away all of Big Brother's radio waves. :silly:

OK, I saw a guy dressed as a roast turkey for Halloween, and he was wrapped COMPLETELY in tin foil......

Haven't seen him since. Maybe the government heard his stomach growl and thought he was an alien?
