so, like most gals on this board, I have a penchant for beautiful jewelry in all its forms... and, always interested in adding to my jewelry box, I thought LHC could use a thread to discuss our favorite jewelry websites & physical locations.

I'm sure this thread has been posted 10295820184 times, but what the heck.

My favorite jewelry websites...

http://www.mystic-caravan.com
has got to be up there... Tons of options at affordable prices. Their Celtic products are my favorite, and gosh, there is just SO much. I could spend all day looking at their stuff.

I've never ordered anything from them, so I can't speak for their reliability, but man they have cool bellydancing stuff. Some of it is quite cheap, as well.

http://www.krobinsdesigns.com/
I met K Robins at Womongathering and fell head over heels in love with her jewelry: it's all very well made, and her (original) designs are just exquisite. It's not cheap, but it's worth it. "Balance" has got to be one of the best jewelry designs I've ever seen.

so, what are some of your favorite jewelry sites? What's the site you spend lots of time drooling over? Share!

:)

This isn't a finished jewelry site, but Fire Mountain Gems has a monstrously huge selection of pretty shiny things to drool over.

I LOVE jewelry, I used to wear about 10 necklaces a day, 8 earrings a day and a ring on each finger, but my hair started getting caught in all the jewelry around my neck no I stopped wearing so much, now I wear one or two necklaces, one ring and 8 earrings. My favorite place to get jewelry is from my friend's shop. His name is Ben and he and his wife run this shop and have all kinda of stones and precious gems and they make half the stuff. It's called The Jewel Train and they close the shop for me when I come in and cater to me all day (and give me dicounts!) I have alot of celtic and peridot jewelry that I've gotten off of e-aby as well.

I love Tiffany & Co. It's high-end jewelry, and in my opinion, in a league of its own.

My engagement ring, wedding band, anniversary ring, and ruby ring (graduation gift) are from Tiffany's. They're FABULOUS. I receive compliments all the time.

I also like Cartier. I have an anniversary ring from them, too. DH is generous to me. :cloud9: However, I think I like Tiffany more.

Echo Tiffany's, I just love their style. Anything you buy from them is an investment so IMO it's worth it.

I also love the Sundance catalog, they started printing all jewelry catalogs to supplement their clothing. (Their clothing is awesome, too.)

Other than that I hit estate shops and antique stores for jewelry. :)

I've ordered several times from http://www.marshjewelers.com/ The main things I like about them are the very simple styles, wide selection of stones/colors, decent prices, and frequent discounts once you get on their e-mail list. Sometimes I have shipping problems with them, but I can live with that.

I am not into gold or diamonds. I rarely wear gems and I like white metals. I like jewelry that looks old but also modern. I usually like jewelry from gaelsong.com, mystic-caravan.com, craftycelts.com, designtoscano.com, lythastudios.com and...Macy's. I know that sounds random but Macy's usually has a good selection of silver & marcasite with onyx -- a combination I love.

I really love semiprecious stones... what people mostly recognize these days as "crystals." I'm usually on the lookout for stuff of modern design that uses things like jasper and lapis. I just like that stuff so much.

I mean, I also like the look of a good diamond, but i'll probably never buy one.
