View Full Version : Online meditation/relaxation?
Jonobie June 2nd, 2003, 10:43 AM Does anyone know of any sites that have audio files that do guided meditation or have relaxation segments online? I've been trying to do 20 minutes at work. Unlike at home, it's noisy enough (even with my door shut) that I find I need some sort of audio guidance to keep me focused and to drown out outside noise.
I found these sites already, and like them a lot, but would like to have more choice to mix and match:

Anyone know of any others?
Cheers,
Jonobie

Heidi June 2nd, 2003, 10:50 AM I can't help you with any known sites, but was wondering if headphones might make it easier to drown out unwanted noise?

Well, if they're playing something, they seem to. They don't quite stop it just by themselves. (And I even have those big honkin' ones. ;-))
We have *really* thin walls here, and I'm right across from a conference room. :-(

SagittarianTiger June 2nd, 2003, 01:06 PM Hi Jonobie!
I , luckily, when my cats are asleep, and my bird gets tired of singing, can meditate (read..at night)
but what about this site:

not sure about the music, but you get to pick different scenery..

These are a few meditations in hopes that you will purchase the larger set, but I liked them anyway. Nice voices.

That's actually somewhat tempting. He does have a nice voice. The music ones are cool, too.
The site is a bit hokey in its design, though, and I notice he's planning on setting up a 900 number for consultations. On a second thought, maybe I'll just stick to listening to the website. ;-) Hopefully he doesn't have any embedded subliminal messages in there about buying his stuff! ;-) ;-)
Thanks,
Jonobie
