Is anyone else having Photobucket problems? I can't get the site to open for me and it appears that my photos aren't loading. Can anyone see my siggy?

I also can't see other peoples' photos that are hosted on Photobucket.

I think I have, for some weird reason, been banned. It fits...

Of course, since the site won't open (which is a sign of being banned), I can't email them to ask WHY.

Hoping I'm wrong, but if anyone can see my siggy, please let me know. If I've been banned, they've deleted all my photos. If this is a glitch, they should still be there even if I can't see them.

Photobucket Network Update
If you didn't know, yesterday two Tier 1 providers got into a feud and cut off traffic to eachothers network.

Unfortunately Photobucket was one of the thousands of sites effected. We have talked with both Cogent and Level 3, but it doesn't look like it will be fixed anytime soon. Rather than sit back and wait for it to all get sorted out, we have taken some drastic steps to work towards our own resolution.

- Overnighted some additional network equipment as of yesterday
- Moved our dns over to Ultradns (which is used by amazon, myspace, etc) . This gives us some flexibility on how we handle traffic from the two networks.
- Working frantically on bringing up another carrier so we can start pushing 'non-resolvable' traffic that direction.

We believe this will solve many or all of the issues regardless of what happens with Cogent and Level 3.

Thanks for understanding, Photobucket got the worst of a bad situation that is totally out of our control.

I just panicked, because I registered with Imageshack to get me through the interim and they said that when they ban users you can't get to their site and your photos get deleted. It seemed to fit.

Phew. Time to get a cup of tea and chill out.

Apparently, I'm very photo-insecure, because I was SURE I'd been banned. (But I couldn't figure out why. I must have some sort of secret persecution complex. I don't even have any p0rn on there--although I stole a cartoon of a beaver from the web once. An animal beaver. You know, with buck teeth and a tail. Oh, gods...I need to shut up now.)

The site wouldn't come up for me at all over the past couple of days, but it seems to be fine this morning. :)

I just wanted to pop in and suggest that if you have not already done so, you back up your pics onto disk. I have lost way too many to count, and now keep all my pics on disk at home for safe keeping.

I understand what a PITA it is, but at least you won't lose precious pics for fueding server problems.

Oh, sure. Everything's organized on my computer and backed up on my external harddrive. It's just an image hosting problem. Thanks for the input, though!

You could try registering again under another name. Sometimes i have problems with it too, like i will post one photo and then try to post a different photo and it will show the same photo, but i can see your pictures.
