View Full Version : Confessions of an Ebay Bad Girl...
Accolady February 23rd, 2003, 12:56 PM __________________________________________________ _____
Recently, I was surfing Ebay for Peacock feathers for hubby to
use on his fly fishing hobby.
Naturally, I came across a Peacock hair item, and
you know, it said HAIR, so how could I just, like, skip it?
So. I went to see the auction. And then it got worse.
I clicked on the seller's other auctions.
And then I saw more. So I bid.
And lost.
And bid.
Lost again.
Bid again.
Lost again.
Then a certain person was bidding on everything I bid on,
taking all of my hair toys!
I just started bidding on everything!
And, well, even though at that point this idiot (me) was just
bidding to get back at the other bidders
(can you say stupid?) it was too late.
I was in the mood!
So, all said and done,
this is what I ended up winning:

Upper left pic is cropped, it has long sticks...
I can't wait to get them!
I don't normally wear anything so fussy, but
I just couldn't help myself when I saw that Peacock!
:D
Anne February 23rd, 2003, 01:26 PM Wow! those are lovely!
You must REALLY know your UPS guy very well KM.
Accolady February 23rd, 2003, 01:46 PM __________________________________________________ ______
Well, actually my dogs know the UPS guy...LOL
One is nice and one kicks the dogs, even though we have
asked them to leave it on the step outside the fence
or in the garage, one guy insists on coming through the
gate and I KNOW he's waiting for an opportunity to kick
my Yorkie, I caught him one day!
They never bother knocking at the door, just drop it on
the porch and leave, so I never open the door if I'm
unpresentable. But the last time I saw him come through the
gate and Dooberry ran towards him, I opened the door
at just the right time like "Well, golly gee, I opened the door
and the UPS guy just happened to have his leg ready to boot!"
Funny that the last few times the good UPS guy has come.
As my dogs say, Brown is NOT good! Brown kicks!
(you won't get that unless you've seen the commercials, LOL)
Oh, Anne...did you know that your signature picture never
shows up? It shows up as a huge red X. The Network 54 pix
won't show up here, so you may need to adjust your signature
without the pic link until you upload it to a different free pic
server thingie.
:D

thinkfirst February 23rd, 2003, 05:00 PM My DH worked at a zoo and collected lots of feathers, and I just have to give them a shower every year to keep the dust down. I'm sure he won't miss a few, and neither will I. I can send some. Email me if your interested

Well, actually my dogs know the UPS guy...LOL
I know what ya mean, KM! My UPS guys says 'Sophie sure does like granola doesn't she....' I didn't want to know how he knew this
Apparently, she hops up into his truck to greet him, check out the packages (you never know when someone is sending their grandkid cookies ;) ) and 'partook' in his snack.
It's amazing we ever get any of our packages. :?
Teacherbear February 23rd, 2003, 07:49 PM Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh KarenMarie!!! hahaahahahahahaa
You have some new LOVELY hair pieces!!!!!! LOL
I just wonder if it was anyone around here?! But if it was Tonispins . . . GET HER!!! ;) hahahahaahhaaa she bids on almost EVERY Graydogwood stick/fork that I want . . . and she has more money than I do!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
Luna Bella February 23rd, 2003, 10:53 PM You are always finding great pieces on E-bay!
Karen Marie, your new hair toys are simply gorgeous.. Enjoy!!
Nitsa February 24th, 2003, 05:28 AM I can relate to how you ended up with them.
Sometimes I think ebay is evil, but then again
I do find some wonderful things there.
I can't wait to see some pics of you with these
lovelys in your hair:)
I am finding that the longer my hair is getting the
more I like to have a large assortment of beautiful
hair toys.
Arcticpixie February 24th, 2003, 09:04 AM Oh how pretty! I can't wait to see them...
Our UPS guy doesn't get out of the truck. He honks. We used to have Great Danes for years heeheehee. Now he's in the habit even though all I got now is a poodle and a sheltie.
Here's hoping the meanie finds a Great Dane to visit....
Teechia February 24th, 2003, 02:10 PM absolutely beautiful!!!
Teechia
RedButterfly February 25th, 2003, 09:44 AM Of course, we have to look at the hair items! I love finding treasures on EBay. Those hair toys are very pretty. Isn't it fun?
Jeanne November 29th, 2003, 07:12 PM Your hair toys are just beautiful!
Mop November 29th, 2003, 09:11 PM Nice to know I'm not the only one who succumbs to ebay madness. Those are really beautiful, you have such a good eye. I can't wait to see a picture of that peacock in your hair.
We have a UPS lady. Knows me by name, leaves my packages at my folks' apartment if I'm not home. Can't ask for better.
BeeLady November 29th, 2003, 10:28 PM KM, they are lovely......... sparkly and everything :)
We have been having horrendous times with parcel deliveries since we moved...apparently people can't read, or follow policy. Our washer, shelves for our our bookcase and various bits of post have been going astray (or almost astray) because the drivers are too dumb to ask questions. (MEN!!)
I hope your weird guy gets scared by a great dane too. There used to be a guy who had one near where we had our second flat, while I was still at college. I was walking home one foggy night, all the fog on the top of the rise, and out of the fog comes a figure..........with a horse!! It took me several minutes to discover it was a Great Dane.........very freaky in the fog and dark! I only used to see him walking it at night though!
Nutswmn November 30th, 2003, 04:55 AM Nuts,

nastasska November 30th, 2003, 05:50 AM Those are EXQUISITE. :D
What a nasty postman     If anyone did that to my dogs
My postman is very quiet he never says anything  So you can imagine my surprise when he put his hand down to Sooty to try and make friends one day  Sooty never makes friends though  Missy would but I don't trust her not to run out the door so she is kept safe while mummy gets the parcel ;)
bunniee November 30th, 2003, 07:24 AM Nuts,
