View Full Version : Meyers-Briggs Personality Type Poll
Ursula September 12th, 2005, 04:26 PM Since there have been a few threads that drifted into discussion of the Meyer-Briggs personality types, I thought I'd post a poll...
Please pick one of each of these two pairs
Introvert/Extrovert
Sensor/Intuative
Thinker/Feeler
Judger/Perciever
You can take an English language test here:
http://www.gesher.org/Myers-Briggs/keirsey%20temperament%20sorter.htm
Or various non-English tests here:
http://keirsey.com/ktsnonenglish.html
I'm an INTP.

nastasska September 12th, 2005, 04:30 PM I am ENTP.
Extraverted
iNtuitive
Thinking

That's exactly what I got on the short quiz
VioletVale September 12th, 2005, 05:06 PM I'm an ISFJ, through and through. (And I love reading and talking about personality types!)
Teacherbear September 12th, 2005, 05:07 PM I picked Extrovert.
I've gotten
ESFP but have also scored as ENFP. I guess the n/s varies in me.
physicschick September 12th, 2005, 05:16 PM I am ISTJ, but I have some INTP traits. On other tests that show where I lie on a continuum, the I and T are very solid, but the others are more borderline.
Given that this is an online forum, I'd speculate that we'll see more 'I' than 'E'. :)
--physicschick
bellawave September 12th, 2005, 05:21 PM INTP here!
snowbear September 12th, 2005, 05:56 PM INTP, from an officially given test.
Wind September 12th, 2005, 06:11 PM According to the link, I am ENFP. Extrovert, iNtuative, Feeler, Perciever. That's kinda neat.
Teacherbear September 12th, 2005, 07:01 PM According to the link, I am ENFP. Extrovert, iNtuative, Feeler, Perciever. That's kinda neat.
Me, too, Wind! :rockerdud
Solitude September 12th, 2005, 07:19 PM ISTJ the last time I took it.
Previously, I've scored differently. The S and either T or J was not as strong. These are faulty tests given the test taker's mood or interpretation of the questions at the time the question is answered. There is supposed to be a book named the Cult of Personality that delves into these tests in more detail. Just wish I had whatever personality they were hiring since I seem to not make it past these silly screens for the brain deadest jobs. They seem to prefer idiots who can barely speak or understand English.
Wind September 12th, 2005, 07:26 PM Me, too, Wind! :rockerdud
Cool! There doesn't seem to be too many of us here. At least, I doesn't seem so after reading the "Hermit" thread.
bruteforcegrl September 12th, 2005, 07:33 PM I'm an ISJT. Introverted Sensing aided by Thinking. Yup; that's me.
BFG
Pilgrim September 12th, 2005, 07:51 PM I'm glad you started this thread, Ursula. DH and I have the book, Type Talk, and find the type indicator very helpful. Once we understood what type we each are, it helped us to understand some very important things about each other. I'm an INFP; he's an ENTJ. Some of our greatest conflicts happen in the P and J area.
Now I'll go read what everyone else said!

Ali September 12th, 2005, 07:59 PM Wow that was a really interesting test... I am *always* described by other people as an extrovert, but have always felt that was not really me, just the way others percieve me. I came out as an INFJ on the test. It was really interesting reading what they had to say - although it was wierd to see them highlight in the text what I would definitely consider to be the main points of my personality!
Speedbump September 12th, 2005, 08:13 PM I came out as an ISTJ, which surprised me. I am a very responsible person, but I'm not THAT boring. I hate math and I would make a terrible accountant, contrary to their profile. However, my job requires dedication, attention to detail, the ability to make sense of complex issues and problems, and it is utterly thankless.
One lesson I have learned (the hard way) that apparently is a huge pitfall for this personality type is "rescue syndrome." That's when you hook up with someone who is your opposite with it in mind to "rescue them" from themselves. I learned that rescue syndrome is a PROBLEM created by me, through horrible experience, early in life, so this pitfall has not befell me for a long time.
Something that totally doesn't fit me is the whole "not attracted to exotic foods" thing. I LOVE to try new foods. Clothes...well, I know what looks good on me, and it's not sparklies and spiked heels.
Anyway, some of this was dead on, and some of it either doesn't apply, or I grew out of it, or it's just a "stereotype" version of who they think I am. The reality is more complex and less easy to pigeonhole than that. Yes, integrity is important to me, and so are the institutions we have, but if something just isn't working anymore, I'm usually the first person to say, "Time to chuck it and start over, folks."
And one final thought: This test was very "either or" about a lot of things that I don't consider "either or" items. There were a lot of answers where I felt like the two items were of equal value, but so different that they could not be equated in the literal sense. In those cases, I just had to "pick one." :shrugs:
Speedy
LittleFlower September 12th, 2005, 08:13 PM It says I'm an XSFJ. I've never seen the 'X' before - does it stand for Extroverted? I'm confused!
Niniane September 12th, 2005, 08:18 PM total INFP
Wind Dragon September 12th, 2005, 08:40 PM The link says I'm INTJ. I've taken something of this sort before, but don't remember what the result was. I'm saving it this time.
ETA: Hmm. Came out the same on the Gray-Wheelwright test on the same site.
ETA#2: Test on a different site came out INFJ. Ursula, you dog, I have studying to do; you've created a monster.
requiemofroses September 12th, 2005, 09:01 PM I took the official test in a class up at my local college, and I was found to be an INFP, and it's quite dead-on. I don't think anything has ever fit me better, as far as personality gauges and tests go.
Calista September 13th, 2005, 12:12 AM I´m an INTJ.
Fia September 13th, 2005, 12:26 AM I'm an ENTJ (http://www.gesher.org/Myers-Briggs/Profiles--TJ.HTM#ENTJ) and the description is quite spot on...
Kathleen September 13th, 2005, 12:54 AM We had a man come to our school last year who spent about a week doing this with us.
I'm an INFJ, I was the strongest N in the class, actually, I was to the extreme in everything
The man got me and someone else, who was the opposite, to give directions of how to get from one place to another in out school, and I was like "you just go down that way, and past the thingy and then you go in, no, in the other door, and it says the room numbers and you go in the one that says 3." and the other girl was like "You go about 10metres this way, down three steps etc" and she could tell how many rooms along the door was. It was interesting.
Zequana September 13th, 2005, 01:21 AM I get different results every time I do these tests... As Speedbump said, sometimes it's impossible to pick one of the two alternatives, it all depends on what mood I'm in and what I think they mean with the question, and what it says about me and... yeah, thinker is quite a bit of my personality anyway ;)
I got ENFJ or ISTJ. I have to try a few more tests and see if I can conclude something :) Did it once again this time INFP... argh! I give up.
miska September 13th, 2005, 01:37 AM When I took this kind of test the last time, it said I'm INTP with pronounced I and T and borderline N and P. Now it says either ISTP or ISTJ depending on the test. I see where this comes from - I understand certain things differently than the maker of the test. Then there's the difference between what I am and what I admire and especially since lot of the questions are worded this way...
Based on the descriptions, I'm in the middle of all of the above depending on mood and situation. My Perceptive side gets most pronounced when I'm arguing with my mother who's clearly a Judge... 8)
ETA: At this moment we have not only an abundance of introverts (which isn't surprising on a message board) but also a lot of Ns (vs. Sensors). Interesting...
Faerieprincess September 13th, 2005, 03:06 AM INFJ for me . .
Athena's Owl September 13th, 2005, 03:22 AM INTP (so yeah, that's a surprise.)
everydayfantasia September 13th, 2005, 03:39 AM INFJ here, and like others, that's spot-on for me!
Earth Mother September 13th, 2005, 04:13 AM I got XSFJ ... what is that???
Ursula September 13th, 2005, 04:18 AM I got XSFJ ... what is that???
The "X" means that you answered the I/E questions 50/50 - an even split. I'd suggest reading the book "Please Understand Me" for the difference between I and E, and see if that helps you decide.
E. September 13th, 2005, 04:30 AM I´m an INTJ- Introverted Intuition Aided by Thinking.
Earth Mother September 13th, 2005, 04:31 AM The "X" means that you answered the I/E questions 50/50 - an even split. I'd suggest reading the book "Please Understand Me" for the difference between I and E, and see if that helps you decide.
LOL, thanks Ursula!
KristinMH September 13th, 2005, 04:32 AM I got XNFJ? Can't find a desciption of that type.
Odd because I took that test on another site and got INFJ. Very high on the F on both I think. I can be X or I depends on the situation. I will talk to someone on the grocery line, but I prefer being alone.
froglet September 13th, 2005, 04:45 AM INTJ -- Introverted Intuition Aided By Thinking
Man, that description had me pegged!
RhainyC September 13th, 2005, 04:59 AM Me weird I guess...LOL
INFJ though I can swing into the P as well...LOL
Blessings,
RhainyC
:flowers:
smiles September 13th, 2005, 05:14 AM Another ENFP here! :rockerdud
Lady Godiva September 13th, 2005, 05:15 AM The "X" means that you answered the I/E questions 50/50 - an even split. I'd suggest reading the book "Please Understand Me" for the difference between I and E, and see if that helps you decide.Additionally, Xing means that it helps to read the descriptions for both personality types. When I took the test a second time, the counselor gave me both the ENTP and ENFP descriptions. When I took the test several years before that, I came close to Xing between ENTP and ENTJ.
Also, each pairing represents a continuum, with X in the middle. My N is strongest, with E next, followed by the other two, closest to X.
As for as how the questions are worded, as I was told, they are worded so iNtuitive people will interpret them and Sensing people will take them literally. Supposedly this is part of determining your type.
I'm an INFP; he's an ENTJ. Some of our greatest conflicts happen in the P and J area.Hubs is also ETNJ, very solidly so, and I also notice it's the P v. J that generates great discussions and, yup, disagreements. ;)
rock chip September 13th, 2005, 05:22 AM I took this test in college and was a strong ISTJ. Neat poll!
StellaRose September 13th, 2005, 06:37 AM I am an ISFJ, and it fits me to a "T". :rockerdud
Twitch September 13th, 2005, 06:39 AM ESTX - I think I've got some reading to do! Its funny, when I was in my early teens I took this test and got nearly the opposite result...
Anka September 13th, 2005, 06:43 AM INFJ, which, i guess is fairly me.
joyinc September 13th, 2005, 07:05 AM that was hard... alot of those questions i could have picked either or, but tried to think and pick out the best ones. in the end the description was pretty bang on! I'm an INFJ... it says i'm in the 1%... thats kinda cool
saracuda September 13th, 2005, 07:14 AM I took this a few months back, on a day when I was totally frustrated with my job. I wanted to know if I was doing a job that was right for me, and I just hated this particular job, or if I was in the wrong industry. Turns out that this particular job I have is just crappy. I'm an ESFP, and from what I see, I'm the only one here. Teacherbear is similar to me, so hi, fellow Extrovert! Here is the list of recommended occupations for ESFP's:
veterinarian
flight attendant
floral designer
real estate agent
child care provider
social worker
fundraiser
athletic coach
musician
secretary
receptionist
special events producer
preschool teacher
elementary teacher
emergency room nurse
occupational therapist
exercise physiologist
team trainer
travel sales
public relations specialist
waitress
labor relations mediator
Amazingly, almost all of these jobs appeal to me, and some of them are ones I considered doing before I went to business school and got a degree in management. Right now, I'm a secretary. Weird, huh?
Anka September 13th, 2005, 07:19 AM Sometimes INFJ, sometimes INTJ.
13bodies September 13th, 2005, 07:31 AM I'm an ISFX. I'm split very evenly between the P and J types which I gather is a little weird. :ponder:
LittleFlower September 13th, 2005, 07:32 AM I got XSFJ ... what is that???
Hey, we're the same type! :hollie:
Thanks for explaining the X, Ursula! Now I'm off to read...
avery September 13th, 2005, 08:08 AM I'm a INTJ, too. Most people see me as an extrovert but those that know me well know otherwise. I tend to be very seemingly outgoing in some situations, especially if I am super nervous. *lol*
I did this a few years ago and was a firm INFJ. After reading both, they equally sound like me. I wonder if it's 'cause I'm Gemini.
These are always fun. Thanks, Ursula!
Ursula September 13th, 2005, 08:16 AM I edited my first post, to add some Amazon links to books on this subject. For those who are interested...
Anne September 13th, 2005, 08:36 AM I am an INFJ...going now to read about it.
I didn't choose an option in the poll though. I wasn't sure how to answer.
(later...) spot on for me and hello to the other INFJs here!
TwirlyTresses September 13th, 2005, 09:26 AM I've taken this several times in the past, and again today, and always come up INFJ. The description given is pretty spot-on for me, too.
Meezer September 13th, 2005, 09:28 AM I am an ISFJ
Introverted
Sensing
Feeling
Judging
I am absolutely FLOORED about how accurate this was!!! Floored!!!
Main Characterisitics
Six out of every one hundred people are ISFJs. Here the primary desire is to be of service and to minister to individual needs. ISFJs carry a sense of history, a sense of continuity with past events and relationships. Traditions and the conservation of resources are valued highly. The least hedonistic of all types, ISFJs believe work is good, play must be earned. ISFJs are willing to work long, long hours. When they undertake a task, it will be completed if at all humanly possible. Adhering to an established way of doing things and doing them well is valued and respected. The efficiency and effectiveness of an established procedure is not often questioned. Procedures dictated by handbooks are law. If others violate or ignore these standard operating procedures, ISFJs are annoyed and irritated, although they may not always display this reaction. Usually, such irritation is turned inward and may be experienced as fatigue and muscle tension.
Career
ISFJs are super-dependable and seldom are happy working in situations where rules are constantly changing. Their major need to be of service to others leads them into occupations such as nursing, teaching, secretarial work, medical practice (especially general practice), librarian work, and middle management administrative jobs. They relate well to people who need them, for example, the sick, the ignorant, students, and the "boss." Much satisfaction comes to them when they are taking care of the needs of another and they render the service gently and helpfully. When the recipient is no longer in need, the relationship may change its character, the ISFJ becoming disinterested. They enjoy assisting the downtrodden and can handle better than other types servility in others. If a situation calls for such behavior on their part, they will show "due respect." ISFJs have an extraordinary sense of responsibility and an outstanding talent for executing routines which call for repeated, sequential procedures; for example, ISFJs make extraordinary secretaries, highly efficient nurses, and dedicated teachers. Speculation and theory do not intrigue ISFJs, who would rather leave the less practical matters to others while remaining themselves practical and down-to-earth.
ISFJs tend to be devoted and loyal to a boss and tend to identify personally rather than institutionally. They expect others, including the boss, to follow procedures and are distressed and embarrassed when people do not behave as they are supposed to behave. ISFJs often seem to feel personally responsible for seeing to it that people in an institution or business carry out established rules and routines. They often are aware of status given by titles, environment, offices, and the like and can use this to advantage. They are aware of the value of material resources and abhor the squandering or misuse of these resources. To save, to put something aside against an unpredictable future, to prepare for emergencies - these are important actions.
ISFJs may experience some discomfort when placed in positions of authority over others and may tend to try to do everything themselves rather than insist that others do their jobs. As a result, ISFJs are frequently overworked.
Home
ISFJs are devoted to mate and family and usually are excellent homemakers. The home of an ISFJ is likely to be well kept inside and out. Interior and exterior are meticulously maintained and appointed in the traditional manner. As a parent, the ISFJ expects the children to conform to the rules of society and has a feeling of personal responsibility to see to it that these rules are honored. An ISFJ is apt to find the putting on of airs as offensive and tends to prefer modest, quiet friends rather than more boisterous ones. For the ISFJ, people should behave according to their position in life, and the ISFJ may be annoyed by others who act either above or below their social or economic station.
The ISFJ female often displays a flair for making the interior of the home attractive in a time-honored style, provides attractive, nourishing meals, and maintains the environment in a neat and orderly state. To the ISFJ male and female, the home territory is important to own and to preserve.
While ISFJs are super-dependable, they may be fascinated by and attracted to the irresponsible, the lush, the glutton. Many ISFJs marry alcoholics and then proceed to conduct a rescue-rejection game without end, with the rescuing phase taking the guise of an attempt to reform. Occasionally an ISFJ mother may reveal a tendency to find humor in the "waywardness" of a son, while raising her daughters to respect traditions and to do the Right Thing at the Right Time; always.
ISFJs are frequently misunderstood and undervalued. Their contributions often are taken for granted, and the ISFJ as well is too often taken for granted. This can cause an ISFJ to harbor feelings of resentment, and this bottled up emotion can gnaw inwardly, causing the ISFJ much undeserved suffering.
Mid-life
At mid-life ISFJs might want to develop the thinking function more fully. For example, a study of human behavior might be one avenue that ISFJs can find fascinating at this time. They also might practice being in the limelight occasionally, more aggressively claiming recognition for the many contributions they have been making so quietly for so long. They could even practice the art of accepting service from others, allowing themselves to be pampered a bit, and cutting down on the services they provide to others, no matter who those others may be.
Mates
The conserving nature of the ISFJ nicely complemented the iconoclasm of the ENTP "inventor." There would seem to be an even greater affinity in the mating of ISFJ with the ESTP "promoter." The dashing, glittering, wheel-and-deal capers of the ESTP calls for anchorage. The ESTP tends to have "high" periods during which there is a whirlwind of euphoric activity. The ISFJ provides, and likes to provide, a place to "crash" for our high-rolling entrepreneur. Usually the ISFJ finds employment that requires this ministering, nursing, helping sort of activity. Even so, he or she doesn't seem to mind doing the same thing at home, and so tends to get burdened with a bit more duty than others. If the spouse does not show appreciation now and then for this overtime work, he may be in for an increase in physical complaints and "worries" on the part of the unappreciated ISFJ.
khrome September 13th, 2005, 09:29 AM I'm a INTJ, too.
Avery! I'm the same. I teeter between F and T, and people also see me as an extrovert. When I used to do contracting work, I had to "learn" to be more sociable, which is why I think people think I'm and "E". But if I had to choose between going to a party or staying home, I'd much rather stay at home.
I'm more of a one-on-one person. When I do talk to people, I want to give them my whole attention. The larger the group of people are that are in a room, the more stressed I become because I'm trying to pay attention to everyone at the same time. Usually, that results in me being even more quiet so I can listen. Or sensory overload, whichever comes first. :)
Cynde
Amari September 13th, 2005, 09:51 AM I'm a ISTJ and the description is me to a T.
hibi September 13th, 2005, 10:00 AM I came out an INTP....the personality description was surprisingly on target..
nesxb74 September 13th, 2005, 12:27 PM I'm an ISTJ and the description is scarily accurate!
Lyli September 13th, 2005, 01:23 PM I'm an ISFJ, through and through. (And I love reading and talking about personality types!)
Me, too! I have to laugh, 'cause I am a teacher and have been a librarian!
naomimcc September 13th, 2005, 01:49 PM I'm an ESTJ...yup...that's me!
Polyhex September 13th, 2005, 04:31 PM I am always an ENTJ on these tests. I feel a little twinge of guilt at the description of the "field marshall". :D
kadje September 13th, 2005, 04:40 PM My answers would be different from day to day. I believe I have mild bipolar disorder. I took a similar test years ago and my score was exactly even for introvert/extrovert.
Maela September 13th, 2005, 05:02 PM I'm an INFJ - Introverted Intuition Aided by Feeling. The personality characteristics describe me well. Usually when I take a personality test, I feel like the results are not me at all; but this one is definitely me.
Hello other INFJs! We should get together sometime!
Edited: I originally wrote IFNJ instead of INFJ.
myrrh78 September 13th, 2005, 10:13 PM I am an ENXX. I have very high E scores and middling N, but straight down the middle for T/F and J/P. When I was 18 I scored ENTJ, then when I was 22 I scored ENFP, so I guess I have equalized out. :)
Jennifer September 14th, 2005, 02:53 AM ESTJ here! Seems to be a pretty accurate description.
I scored ENFJ on the shorter test though.
I guess one is more how I'd like to be or think I am and the other is more accurate of who I really am.
Both ESTJ and ENFJ make sense to me really, I just wonder about the discrepancy. Very interesting though! I've taken this test before, but never two different tests with two different results at the same time.
Fia September 14th, 2005, 03:43 AM An observation I just made - of the moderators that have answered so far all but one are extroverts. Coincidence or not?
Jennifer September 14th, 2005, 03:58 AM An observation I just made - of the moderators that have answered so far all but one are extroverts. Coincidence or not?
Interesting! :suspect:
Lady Godiva September 14th, 2005, 05:41 AM An observation I just made - of the moderators that have answered so far all but one are extroverts. Coincidence or not?And he's only moderately "I," at that. Still, I'm betting there are 3-4 other "I" mods, but they haven't chimed in yet. One is online right now.
Beatnik Guy September 14th, 2005, 01:10 PM And he's only moderately "I," at that. Still, I'm betting there are 3-4 other "I" mods, but they haven't chimed in yet. One is online right now.
LOL...did the 70 questions again...and it confirms me as INTP.
esme September 14th, 2005, 01:52 PM
I've taken this test twice this week, and come out ENFP and INTJ.
Iiiii'm every woman, it's all in meeee... :silly:
Jennifer September 14th, 2005, 01:54 PM
I've taken this test twice this week, and come out ENFP and INTJ.
I'm glad I'm not the only fickle one.
Teechia September 14th, 2005, 04:38 PM I scored ENFP, seems pretty acurate
Hugs,
Teechia
funnybunny668 September 14th, 2005, 04:56 PM Cool! There doesn't seem to be too many of us here. At least, I doesn't seem so after reading the "Hermit" thread.
Me too! I'm an ENFP
esme September 14th, 2005, 05:01 PM I'm glad I'm not the only fickle one. :cool:Nah... we're personality ho's together.
nastasska September 14th, 2005, 05:19 PM I never really find these tests accurate.Humans are too complex to define through a series of question and answers
Dispatcherbert September 14th, 2005, 11:43 PM I'm an ISTJ and it's right on the money. I've taken several of these over my career in law enforcement and I never waiver.

I don't know about you but I'm very sensitive to Energy. It doesn't matter if it's from people, situations and locations. I am also very keenly aware of smells and sounds that others can't detect. (my SO calls me a bloodhound. ) Sensory overload is the best way to put it. The key is learning to detach and not absorb all the energy coming towards you. It can cause health problems and emotional disturbances. Might sound flakey to some but I've dealt with it all my life.
There is a great book called "The Highly Sensitive Person" by Elaine Aron. Here's a link to her website: http://www.hsperson.com/
Sorry...back on topic! :flowers:
Arianwen September 21st, 2005, 06:38 AM Apparently I'm an ISTJ. It's pretty accurate but I hate math!
Does it fit my personality type that all the spelling errors on the test site and bugging the h#$$ out of me? :D
rawtoast September 21st, 2005, 10:13 AM INFP ... kinda fits but not entirely
cruztacean September 21st, 2005, 10:35 AM ENFJ
And that E surprised me. Maybe it's because I can talk so easily to people I don't know. I moved around a lot as a kid and hardly ever finished the school year at the same school where I started it. In fact, I've gone to as many as five schools in one year. No, we weren't military, just unstable. So I learned early to talk to strangers.... but I'm more closed up than it would appear. I tend to isolate a LOT.
Rain September 21st, 2005, 11:00 AM This time, I'm an INTJ. I also get INFP sometimes. A lot of the questions on tests like these leave me with unanswered questions, making it difficult to make my selection.
Things that jump out at me in the INTJ description and have me nodding (or, "Yes, I am a demanding bitch living on my own little planet." ):
If an idea or position makes sense to an INTJ, it will be adopted, if it doesn't, it won't, regardless of who took the position or generated the idea.
INTJs do, however, tend to conform to rules if they are useful, not because they believe in them, or because they make sense, but because of their unique view of reality.
reality as the pawn of ideas: No idea is too farfetched to be entertained.
if an INTJ finds that he or she is in a working situation where overlapping functions, duplication of effort, inefficient paper flow, and waste of human and material resources abound, the INTJ cannot rest until an effort is made to correct the situation.
Because of their tendency to drive others as hard as they do themselves, INTJs often seem demanding and difficult to satisfy. INTJs are high achievers in school and on the job.
They do not enjoy physical contact except with a chosen few.
They are supportive of their children and tend to allow them to develop in directions of their own choosing. INTJs usually are firm and consistent in their discipline and rarely care to repeat directions given to children or others.
Wavelength September 21st, 2005, 11:08 AM I had this test done in university. I'm a total INFP, although I've learned to disguise it pretty well for the sake of getting along in a world filled with extroverted logical thinkers who can't see past the bottom line (oops, was that out loud?).
My boyfriend is an INTJ, which means we simultaneously admire each other and drive each other crazy. :silly:
Anne September 21st, 2005, 11:49 AM I had this test done in university.
:silly:
INFJ here and so is my boyfriend, so boy do I know what you're talking about! The other night we sat around reading each other's minds
VSkye April 2nd, 2006, 07:33 AM I am an EFNP and they're definately correct in that I love to work with people.
lilmisspicky126 April 2nd, 2006, 09:33 AM I got ENXJ, which I had never seen before.
I usually get ENFJ, and occasionally INFJ.
Its interesting to apply these types both to tarot cards, and to the Jungian Psycology im currently reading about.
Arcticpixie April 2nd, 2006, 11:16 AM INTJ
Introverted Intuition Aided By Thinking
Rational/Mastermind
I always come up this way. The description is spot on, to the point of being scary. It wasn’t until I read the explanation for my type that I started to understand why I do some of the things I do.:misskim:
Like others mentioned, I have learned to fake another type to get along with people on occasion, but I can’t maintain it for long. It’s cool to be 1% of the population, but it makes dealing with said population difficult sometimes.
Awesome poll!
Saoirse April 2nd, 2006, 01:18 PM I'm an INFJ too, arcticpixie!
Tabitha April 2nd, 2006, 01:42 PM I find it almost impossible to answer a good number of the questions ... dunno what that makes me :silly:
Sanguine April 2nd, 2006, 01:54 PM ENFJ here and the only other one Crusty's description fit my early life to a T, except we were both military and unstable!
Giant Robot April 2nd, 2006, 04:23 PM I've taken the test twice in my life (both times administered by a psychiatrist), and I scored INTP both times. I don't buy its dichotomization of traits though; the one that bugs me the most is Thinking/Feeling. They're not opposites, and just because I'm more likely to make decisions using logic and facts doesn't mean I feel things less intensely than a less-logical person.
Forever Long April 2nd, 2006, 04:43 PM I got XNFP. Is this a combination of ENFP and INFP???
cichlid April 2nd, 2006, 05:02 PM ISXJ
Nope...I am me and no silly quiz can tell me my personality. Plus, I have taken this before and get different results each time. :pirate:
ETA: and that background just about made me go blind...yellow is TOOO bright!
mira-chan April 2nd, 2006, 06:37 PM I'm INTJ, quite accurate. Took this test a while ago. Good type descriptions here http://www.typelogic.com/
cookiemonster April 3rd, 2006, 05:21 PM I was an INFJ the last time I took that test.
connie April 3rd, 2006, 05:58 PM I took this test once long time ago. I am an INTJ.
Tuonela April 3rd, 2006, 10:07 PM INFJ.. Oddly accurate for an online test. Neat. :)
hannerbearr April 6th, 2006, 05:22 PM I'm an ENFJ/P, just like the rest of my family...except for my brother, who's the complete opposite ^_^.
SuzanneEli April 6th, 2006, 05:42 PM ENFP- Extroverted Intuition Aided by Feeling.
I'm always the emotional unique freak in these sort of tests. :)
teadragon April 7th, 2006, 08:12 PM I'm an INFP. I've occasionally tested as something else (usually INTP, once INTJ), but through research I've concluded that I'm an INFP.
Adeye April 8th, 2006, 06:55 PM Your Results from Taking the Keirsey Temperament Sorter Show That Your Type is:
XSTJ
After reading the descriptions, I'm probably 70% ISTJ and 30% ESTJ, but with a bit of frivolity and thrill-seeking tendencies thrown in to the mix (which may seem weird, but hey, I never claim to be normal! ;)). Pretty accurate... thanks for the thread Ursula.
Cascade April 8th, 2006, 07:16 PM INFJ--its scarily accurate, especially from the Please Understand Me book.
Glenlily April 8th, 2006, 08:09 PM ISTJ here. I'm still trying to decide how accurate that is.
ShanaMaidela April 9th, 2006, 07:56 AM INFJ here. It's pretty scary when you answer a few questions and they tell you how you act in various situations. :ponder: Definitely an introvert here and what else did it say...
"Not that INFJs are inconsistent; they are very consistent and value integrity. But they have convoluted, complex personalities which sometimes puzzle even them."
Yep! That's me. Confusing even to myself.
moon_maiden006 April 9th, 2006, 08:39 AM I've taken this test in about 3 different locations with 3 different sets of questions and have gotten the same answer again with this one:
ENFJ--the teacher
And as I want to become a high school English teacher, I find this oddly appropriate!
Love quizzes like this.
Sian100 April 9th, 2006, 08:45 AM I'm an INFJ- Introverted Intuition Aided by Feeling. I found the description spot on.
It's amazing how many people on this thread say they are INFJ's, when the test results state that only 1% of the population are INFJs. What does that say about LHC?!
wavestogrow May 8th, 2007, 12:01 AM Hmm, I just took the test and it says that I am an ie sn tf jp???
Now that I think about it that does sound like me!
teadragon May 8th, 2007, 07:10 AM I'm an INFJ- Introverted Intuition Aided by Feeling. I found the description spot on.

I see a lot of INFJs on most of the online boards I've frequented. INFJ seems to be one of the types that's most drawn to the internet and/or online messageboards, and also one of the types most interested in looking at type (self-exploration and whatnot). This overrepresents their numbers.
Xanthippe May 8th, 2007, 11:35 AM I always get INTJ when I take these tests (even the long paper based ones). Seems pretty accurate to me.
Lots of Introvert and Intuitive! That makes sense I guess for a message board.
twilight_faerie May 19th, 2007, 10:09 PM I'm an ESTJ, which frankly surprises me. I'd consider myself more of an introvert. I agree with the other 3, though.
Ramona_Fosca May 20th, 2007, 03:31 AM ENFP - and agreeing with it.
Tapioca May 26th, 2007, 06:28 AM I've taken this many times over the last 10 years, and I've always been INTJ. Introvert, Intuitive, Thinker, Judger.
Unbridled4 May 26th, 2007, 06:52 AM I've taken this test several times, usually the looooong paper based one. I've always been an INTJ.
"The emotions of an INTJ are hard to read, and neither male nor female INTJ is apt to express emotional reactions. At times, both will seem cold, reserved, and unresponsive, while in fact INTJs are almost hypersensitive to signals of rejection from those for whom they care."
"Being the most independent all the types, they have a strong need for autonomy; indifference or criticism from people in general does not particularly bother INTJs, if they believe that they are right. They also have a strong need for privacy."
Yup. That's me.
I think it's a hoot that there are so many of us here!
