If anybody has a moment to help -- I can't figure out how to add a signature picture. I printed out and read the advice for newbies, but my printer chopped off the last 3-4 words of every sentence. Also, when I read it on the screen, I have to scroll back and forth with every sentence, and it gives me a headache -- so my understanding is sketchy at best. Is Photobucket absolutely necessary or can you load from your personal computer, like you can with the avatar picture? I've been into the signature functure several times, and I don't see an option to add a picture there. Obviously I'm missing something, and I've been trying to figure this out for more than 2 months now..... HELP!

You have to have some sort of on-line host to upload your photos to, but it doesn't have to be photobucket. You cannot upload it like your avatar.

I highly recommend imageshack, you can just upload without registering or anything! Or you can register (the only thing you need to give them is an e-mail address). You need to resize your pictures yourself though.

After you've uploaded a picture, you get the web address/URL for it there, even in the right code for inserting in a forum. Then you just copy and paste it into your signature, preview and save. You can also add the picture to your journal or any post.
