OK, last post. I went to the mall last weekend and bought myself two pairs of hairsticks at Claire's (OK, actually "Icings by Claires". You know, with the buy one, get one 50% off thing, it really doesn't pay to buy just one. ;) So I scanned them today so everyone can see:

All things considered, I'm not totally pleased with the scan (on my hairsticks, either) but it gives you a pretty good idea. I like these sticks because they're totally smooth with no seams, especially the ones with the flowers. The flowers are actually carved *into* the stick from behind, which gives it a neat 3D effect. It also makes the back a little rough there, but that part doesn't touch my hair, so I figure it's OK.

They had some really beautiful stick barrettes of the same style, but sadly all of them were either much too large or much too small to hold all of my hair in a ponytail. So, I passed. :(
I *really* don't need any more hair sticks now... probably won't stop me from aquiring more, though. :)
