How many of you try new styles you see on this site or do you just look at them.

I try them all the time! It keeps the boredom at bay.

I try lots of styles just so that i can put them on the site.
I have tried some buns, braids, rope braids.
Most of the time I try things like that just as fooling around or just to get a quick picture. Now that my hair has gotten as long as it has and that I've been wearing it in my day tail with two elastics in different spots I will probably start wearing braids. I'm not afraid to wear them now around my Mom because I've worn that day tail around her and she's yet to say anything.

Now that i have my camera set up again I'll probably be taking more pictures.
Thanks again to Scorpeo for the camera. :)

I've tried the sock bun and loved it, but my hair is still too short for most of the hairstyles here, I think. I do think they're pretty though, and I can't wait to try them out.

I have been experimenting with different updos when I have time to play around. This site is a great inspiration. Though I wish I could keep my updos 'up' a little longer than an hour as DD is always ripping them down!:)

I try them out...part of the fun of having long hair. Plus it keeps me entertained when I get bored with my hair and want a change.

I've tried quite a few of them out even though I'm not a big updo person. The only one I've mastered is the figure-8 bun.

I'm always eager for any and every new hairstyle i can find. It's not often that i find something that I haven't done; but when I do, I'm excited.

Oh, I love seeing the updo pictures and I try to make my hair do like that. Sometimes my hair is a bit too long and other times it's a bit too short, but it is always fun to play with new twists and braids and bun styles! :)

I try quite a few of the styles I see on here:). That really is half the fun of long hair. It is also a big part of what has saved me from chopping it a few x. I have some of snow whites hairdo's, Daena, and angelic, etc. I think the herringbone braid and rope braid look cool , and the buns, half up buns, etc. Quite a few and anytime I see new pics of styles I like I try the do's.
I would love to post some of my creations from trying out what I see. I'm still not sure how to use hairstix-but they sure look nice!

I try a lot of the styles out that I see on here too. I'm always looking for a new up-do to wear to work. :bluebiggr

Try, definitely try! :D

I try some - I have enough experience to make a good guess at which ones are likely to work.

I have to be careful - with updos, sometimes the volume of my hair is too much for a "tucked" style, sometimes the thickness means that my length isn't enough to get a wrapped style wrapped. (I couldn't do a figure-8 until past waist length.) If the weight isn't balanced right, I can get a headache.

But when an experiment does work out, party time! :rockerdud :hollie: :waltz: :hooched: :wethree: :grouphug: :rollin:

I love trying new hairstyles but I have a tough time doing them. I could do them for someone else but my arms get so tired when I try to do them myself.I love fun braids and updos I would love to get my hair into a 6 or 8 braid but no way I can get my fingers to do that to my own hair.

I try every new style at least once. Like others have said--that's part of the fun of having long hair. :) My favorite I use the most is the infinity bun.

If I see something interesting, I try it. I love playing with new styles. My hair is still too short for many styles shown here, but I don't let that disturb me- my attempt to produce a certain style might lead to something different but equally interesting.

I love to wear new styles but I'm kinda all thumbs so they have to be rather simple and have good instructions!

Elbereth & myrrh78, beautiful sig pics!! Lovely hair, ladies!

It varies. I have a few staples that I know always work.

- cinnamon bun
- plain english braid
- rope braid
- log twist

I do try some of the new styles shown. Most don't work out for me as I have a super-picky scalp that screams if the updo is the slightest bit unbalanced and pulls somewhere - even staples like figure eights are sometimes uncomfortable.

Oh yes I try new updos a lot! Not that they always look all that great, but it's still fun. :silly: I usually stick with some kind of bun variation or an english braid for everyday wear, though.

I love to try new styles on this site or any other site. I especially like the challenging ones that say "only works witn BSL or shorter". I try to make it work for longer hair.

I look. I'm absolutely lousy at figuring out how to do a style if I only see it. Even with instructions ... hit or miss. I try out hairstyles that I find in magazines or books if they include step-by-step instructions with pictures.

I'm a master braider, though; that comes pretty naturally. I can weave, too.

I try every style I see anywhere. In my line of future work I have to know how to do that stuff.

Some I just admire and some I try. Bun variations are my favorites to try. Even if the style doesn't work out it's good experience. I enjoy playing around with new styles anyways. It sometimes leads to another style.

I try them all at least 3 times, and if it won't work after 3 tries, I wait for the next one, and stick to my reliables: Sock bun, scarf bun, and chinese bun. Oh, and HAT!!!! Love those hats :silly:

I have my favorites, but if I see something I like, (and I think I can manage it) I'll give it a try. That is definately the fun of having long hair - being able to try new things. I get bored with the same hairstyle all the time, and I love to try new stuff.

If the style looks like I'd wear it outside and comfortable I try it. but unfortunately I can't wear lots of updoes only a chinese kind of bun and some braids...

I try them all the time. It prevents me from cutting my hair because I'm bored with it. Gives me something to do. And gives me PLENTY of reason to curse.... A LOT.

Needles to say, I'm rarely successful.

I always try them, unless I'm sitting at the computer with my hair already in a crown braid or something else complicated and I can't be bothered to take it down and fiddle with it. I love seeing the new styles and instructions. Sometimes my hair suddenly decides it won't do a style it's previously been happy with, so it's always good to have something else in hand!

I love trying out new hairstyles. In fact, it's the first thing I'm looking for when visiting a (long)hair-site!

Me as well.
I am absolutely not good in updos.
I like wearing my hair with two loose braids (starting at chin length, ending at knee length) and don't mind that it takes approx. ten minutes to make them.
But updos ....
I guess that best I could do was either twisting my two braids together or just putting up my hair and keep the bunch together with a huge hair clip.

I have seen very nice updos with hair sticks, I am definitely going to try it.

Kisses,
Emmy.
