I mentioned the baby name DH and I selected in the baby name opinion thread but I wanted to post this in a separate thread too because it was at the bottom of a long message.

After the baby name opinion thread, many of you are probably wondering which name DH and I selected.

We put aside everything that my family said about our original name choice and just focused on what we liked and what would best represent our future daughter. We ended up selecting a different name!

Our daughter will be named "Miranda Rose." The name "Miranda" means extraoridnary, to be admired, miracle, and beautiful. It is also the name of a Shakespearean character in "The Tempest." When DH and I met, we talked about Shakespeare in our first conversation. Giving our child a Shakespearean name has special meaning to us. :smile: We plan to call Miranda "Mira" and "Mira Rose" as a nick name. "Mira" means wonder and light of God.

We're very happy with our name choice! I hope our future daughter likes her name! :smile:

I just wanted to share this with you all. We are so excited about Miranda Rose and dream about the day she will be born.

Miranda is one of my favourite names :grin: The main character in Picnic at Hanging Rock is called Miranda and she reminds people of a Bottecelli angel

Beautiful name and beautiful meaning! I like how even her nickname has a special meaning. Rose is also one of my favourite middle names. Great choice of name for a precious little girl :flowers:

Congrats on choosing a great name. Well, another great name. I liked your first pick too. I love Mira because I have a friend at school named Mirasol and we all call her Mira. She's so sweet, we all love her. I'm sure it will be the same way with your future daughter.
