Hey..

Just wondering what you think of this poo.. I know there's SLES in it and it contains cones (just comes to mind that I may be a cone girl.. since I like pantene in the past as well)

The bottle says anti-breakage while brushing (oke, something like that in dutch)

Ingredients: Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, dimethicone, sodium chloride, cetyl alcohol, hydroxystearyl cetyl ether, guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, cocamide mipa, sodium cetearyl sulfate, sodium methylparaben, dmdm hydantoin, phenoxyethanol, ppg-5-ceteth-20, ethylparaben, propylene glycol, 2-oleamido-1,3-octadecanediol, propylparaben, isobutylparaben, carbomer, methylparaben, butylparaben, parfum...

I'm using it for some time (used at least one whole bottle) with good results..
Despite that, I wanted something different so thats how I came to this board... I'm planning to use this poo every other washing day, in a CWC like method.. and the other washing days I want to CWC with milder shampoo (baby shampoo, which I quit using because my didn;t feel clean) (and with an ACV rinse at least once a week, to avoid cone build-up)
And I'm using jojoba oil since a week, wich also makes my hair really nice and shiny.

Just like to know what you think of this product.. based on the ingredients list.... you all seem to know a lot about those ingredients :)

I liked what it did to the single strand of hair, but altogether it gave me way too much body...

This looks like a shampoo that's highly conditioning with surfactants of medium harshness. I personally wouldn't have bought it because it has a water resistant silicone so high on the list (I'm by no means anti-cone, I use them myself, but prefer lighter cones, and on the ends only - have a look here (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/viewtopic.php?t=1191) for an article on cones), and seems a bit heavy on the preservatives (parabens).
I'm no expert and haven't looked up every single ingredient, but especially if it worked for you so far I don't see any reason not to use it.
I would recommend doing just what you planned, alternating shampoos and throwing in regular vinegar rinses. :)

For a glosseary of ingredients have a look here (http://us.wella-ingredients.com/index.jsp).

hi..

thanks.. I wasn;t aware that the paraben were perservatives..
I'm not planning to discontinue its use, since my hair seems to respond really well to it.. :D
But I'm curious (sp?) to hear your opinions !!

Today it;s a lot less frizzie compared with my sig pic.. but i want to watch out for build up

Hello Lady,

I read your posts with interest but I must say
that I cringed when I saw you mention baby shampoo!

Now I may be wrong, but gosh, I don't think I would
use this on my hair.

Can someone rec. a gentle shampoo for
this lady other than baby shampoo?

:-) Karen Marie

There's one - and only one - baby shampoo I love: It's called Happy Teddy and I buy it for less than 1 Euro at a German low cost distribution market, something like Shoprite. īThat's really a good one, but all he other ones I have tried were really harsh on the hair. I have heard some Americans mentioning California baby shampoo, though, and they were real happy with it.

Kati, at which market did you get the baby shampoo?

The one I use is by 'Elkos'. It doesn't dseem to be drying. It's a baby blue bottle with a teddy bear on it - but I guess that's a different one?
