I know that a few expressed interest in utilizing the private calendar feature, so I've set it up properly now. There are two calendars - Public and Private. Your private calendar is shown on the main calendar page (see top nav bar for links). To navigate to the Public Community Calendar, scroll down the calendar page and use the calendar jump box.

FYI, you can post your own events and reminders to your private calendar and only YOU will be able to see them.
