Thanks for the link! This is gonna be trouble! ;)

Those remind me of when I was a kid and the women with loooong hair would wear them. Those are pretty reasonably priced too. I always cringe when I look at the price of some of these hair thingy's (we call them "hair pretties" in our house).

Good find! Always wanted one of those. These look really well made, too. Into the Hair Toy folder, for the happy day when my hair gets long enough to actually put something in it (credit card gonna melt that day, let me tell you).

Ooh... I have one of those!

The leather bit is well made, but the stick was kind of rough on mine, and when I sanded it, the color changed (it was dyed to match the barrette.) Oops...

Me again... check out the painted leather barrettes and the horn barrettes under "Featured Items." Are those cool or what? I like the horn pins, too.

Darn it, the last thing I needed was more hair toys to drool over...

Bookmarked and ready to order. Why oh why did I ever get rid of my leatherbarrettes from the 60s? Those are so pretty. I feel an ordering frenzy coming on.

I ordered a few of the leather barrettes last summer. The barrettes are quite nice, but the sticks are a little bit too short. I use the stick from one of my old stick barrettes.

I was surprised at how quickly I got them considering where they come from!

Again, they are very nice but, the reason I didn't post about them was because of the stick. At the price he sells them for though, they're hard to beat and you can always dig up a stick somewhere! ;)

And at how cheap the shipping was... I had no idea they were coming from Europe until I got the package...

My exbf had thick, coarse and wavy hair, he was quite nuts about native american culture and he owned such leather thingies. On my thin, soft and straight hair it never wanted to stay put. If i managed to put one in it slipped out in the next hour. Then i found that a pitty, i liked the designs of these things. Now i'm trying to go vegan, so i do not want a toy in my hair that's made of the skin of a dead animal. Still like the looks of these things though, that man really knows how to make them.
But why post this link in a new thread on this board? On the reviewboard there is a thread for posting links to hairtoymakers. (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/viewtopic.php?t=61) (i like hairpretty ! :) )
