I've been reading up on henna and I have a question...
Since people use henna to create temporary tattoos on their bodies, does henna tint your hairline? I have pretty light skin and fine, thin hair and I don't want to have a red scalp.
Any info???
God love ya!

I think the henna used for tatoos is different and more permanent than the one used for hair. But it does indeed tint your hairline slightly but nothing that wouldn't come off with a good scrub :) . But you can avoid henna stains on your forehead and ears ;) by covering them with a bit of vaseline. After your done you can easily wipe it off! And I'm sure that colour on your scalp will have disappeared after the next time you wash your hair.

Actually, the henna used for skin and the henna used for hair should be one and the same, though some do alter the ingredients a bit.
Banshee's advice above is the best! If it stains your scalp a bit, it will disappear in a day or. The skin on your scalp, as with certain other areas on your body, doesn't take to the stain well, so it won't stay long.
