I'd love to try a horn comb, but I almost exclusivley use large, wide toothed detanglers (similar to the Madora). Does anyone know where to get one like that made of horn - or even a horn comb with a handle, but similarly wide distance between the teeth?
So far I've only found finer horn combs, or extra wide toothed ones that don't do more than finger combing.
Any ideas?
TIA!

:D I can't help you, but after reading the subject line, I had to read the thread...it sounds like you're looking for something to detangle your horns!

Look at Louis Marie Longhairs site. I just put in an order with my sister for another horn comb and we split shipping it only came to $2 each.
I wish I would of know that you were interested sooner you could of ordered also and I could of forwarded it to you.
I have two of her combs now. I may want to get a third one with a handle someday. But, I find that they glide through my hair so well I do not need one that has wide teeth to detangle. I have two of the white sheeps horn combs. It is about 7" long, no handle. I just bought the second one to keep in my purse.

Oh wow, those a nice combs! And they're truly smooth?
I've heard only bad reviews about *** service and shipping cost so I never considered them - in fact I'm still a little reluctant to order from them, but in case you order again I'd definitely be interested to join.
They don't seem to have the wide-toothed rake, but I guess I could happily live with their "Large Thick Wide-toothed Ox Horn Medicine Comb".
Sooo, in case any Canadian/US LHCers happen to plan a *** order, please think of me! :)
@Heidi: You made me LOL! Hehe, I guess I should try a little MegaTek too on those horns of mine, isn't that supposed to be good for hooves, too? :D

I bought one in my local "kruidvat" store, remember I live in Belgium.
It's maybe not in real horn but it's hand made and does not have sharp end or side. That's a keeper ;)
Only 2 euro by the way!!
