Ok ok... I do. :)

I have a small sprayer from the beauty supply store. It has a little squirt of light conditioner, in this case Vo5 citrus. About 5-6 drops of jojoba oil and filled to the top with normal ol' tap water. Works good :) I use it from time to time in rotation with a bunch of other things, since I just got some MM leave-ins to use.

hmm, i don't normally make my own leave in, i just use my regular conditioner and don't wash it out if i want my hair to feel more coated than normal. but i do sometimes mix it with jojoba or silicone serum first  not every conditioner works this way for me, it took some trial and error to avoid becoming stringy waxy girl.

A girl on the forum makes her own with Karite butter.
I have some but it looks very solid and thick, That's would be great if she could post the exact "formula".
can't remember who it is......Fox or Martine?

i use fox's recipe and its awesome. highly recommend it. :D

1 part conditioner (fox uses GPB. i currently use suave coconut, will be graduating to AO GPB as soon as my order arrives)
1 part shea butter (also called karite butter)
1/2 part jojoba
EO - Rosemary/Sage/Lavender

this mixture keeps long. and use very little on wet hair.
hair becomes greasy if applied more or on dry hair.

hope this helps!

I can't wait to try it!!
I tried Shea butter alone on wet hair this week end and my hair was soooo sticky and greasy that I had to wash it again
maybe I used too much of it!! :P

I just bought a new one today, and it has Panthenol listed second, do you think that is a winner?
I thought Panthenol was good for your hair and it's always listed at the end almost!! :?
Interesting hun?

your welcome sandrine. i'm glad to pass on such a wonderful recipe. thanks fox for concocting this!

fox suggests pea size, but for my hair 1/2 pea size on wet hair is more than enough :D if i have to apply on a no wash day,t hen i wet my hair with plain water or water+rosewater mixture and then apply this.
great on length. if u are going to apply on canopy as well, i'd suggest very verrrrrrry little amount... else top of head goes flat. experiment to find what suits best for u.. good luck!

I made Fox's shea butter leave-in last night, only I used shea butter oil instead. I mixed it with Aubrey Organics GPB conditioner and meadowfoam oil. Very nice! 8)

I used to use Olympia's Jojoba oil/Aloe Vera glossing gel as a homemade leave-in. The recipe is here:

http://www.network54.com/Hide/Forum/message?forumid=191096&messageid=1022163325

I used to use it before I stopped using oils. It gave a shine similar to that of a silicone spray, although didn't detangle quite as well. If your hair likes oils, it might work even better.

Cheers,
Jonobie

Oh, in case someone wants to read the entire thread about the glossing spray, see here:

There's a lot of information there in addition to the recipe.

Cheers,

Boy, mine is simple! I just put about 9 drops of jojoba oil in 8 ounces of distilled water. This goes in a mister bottle; I shake it up well then spray some on my wet, just washed hair.

This is new to me, but so far it works great!

I got mine from Oregon Trail Soaps (http://www.oregontrailsoaps.com/fixedbutters.htm). I also bought some rhassoul clay, which I've been using in facial masks with rosehip seed oil, lavender EO, and shea butter oil.
