I used Humectress as a conditioner after my MM shampoo, then used the MM Diamond Crystal conditioner. For that day OMG was my hair TERRIFIC! Full, silky, not dry, wowza! It reminded me of the shiny hair you see on black and white photos of actresses from the 1930's and 40's.
Then next two shampoos *after* that, I didn't use the Humectress and my hair rebounded badly - very dry, ends rather strawlike, for the first time in more than a month that I'd been using MM. Using MM only, my hair seemed to recover in about a week. I tried using Humectress again, and my hair was BLAH. Flat city. It looked limp and weighed down, not shiny and full like it had the first time I'd used Humectress with MM. For the next few shampoos, no Humectress, and my hair was again very dry. It still seems to be recovering from that, but it is coming back.
It's worth noting that we're in the middle of our VERY LOW humidity time of year, so there's been a weather change during this little experiment, although my hair seemed to come back okay despite the low humidity when I hadn't used Humectress for several days.
What does this mean, does anyone have any theories? I don't think I'll be using Humectress again until I underestand more about what's happening. So far, aside from that very first time I used it, it doesn't seem to work well with the MM system. Can this mean a break with my beloved Humectress after, I think, FIFTEEN years...?!
*holds back of hand against forehead in a dramatic way*
