View Full Version : Much as I love animals, I'm not a big fan of having my hair

licked by cows. After sleeping with wet hair last night, it's obvious that the cow who first gave me my many cowlicks way back when I was a baby came back for a midlife re-do last night. My normally flat at the top hair is so fluffy this morning, and I have extra waves. Ordinarily, that would be a cause for rejoicing, except that all this extra poof is not in an even pattern. Some strands are arcing so high, you can see right through the middle. like looking down a breaking wave! Oh well, at least it has some body to it today. I'll have to work on it to make it look presentable.

In the meantime, y'all beware if you see a cow headed your way!

Oh man, you're just too funny!! :)

Good luck taming that cowlick! (Though I would love to have poofy hair on the top of my head, instead of this flat business!)

You are so funny! Literal cowlicks - a new method for wavy hair with tons of body. :D

Not really about cowlicks... but my dad had just washed his hair and was drying it with a towel. Our cat happened to notice it, and jumped up on my dad's shoulder to help him out. The cat licked the whole hair carefully to get the water out, and then he jumped down again, quite content with himself for being so nice. He he... My dad had to sneak into the bathroom again (when our cat wasn't looking) and wash his hair all over again.

When a cat licks you it's a very kind and thoughtful gesture, so my dad didn't want to be rude. :D

You crack me up :D.

Maybe you could start a new trend- the new, all natural, tousled bed-head look?

Cow licks and cat licks!

hey Feye, one of my cats does the same thing. I have to keep on the move after washing my hair, but Felix often attaches himself to my son's head when he's gotton out of the shower, lol.

does love to try to give me a bath after I've taken one. Also, we had an adorable little female cat who never grew much bigger than a kitten, but who had the most maternal little heart. She was always grooming our large male cat and the humans that get to live in the household with the cats -- in short, any warm-blooded creature that would sit still long enough to be the target of her clean-up efforts.

My parents'-in-law dog also is a big fan of washing people. She waits for the second when you're not looking to begin her attack. Reminds me of that commercial that says, "You're not as clean as you think." :)

OMG! This thread is cracking me up!!! Reminds me of my mom's cat, Bently (SIR Bently, to you!). He'll sit by the bathroom door and HOWL something horrid if you don't let him in. Then, he'll sit and howl by the shower door waiting for some water (he loves water as long as he's not soaked). He loves the steam and he LOVES it when you run wet hands over him. Of course, then you've got an issue trying to remove Persian kitty fur from your wet hands. LOL

Ahhh... Great thread. Good way to start my morning. ;)

the water off the shower floor. He loves that even better than clean water in his dish. But, I've wondered if he could get sick this way. We use one of those spray-every-time you shower cleaners that must have a lot of stomach unfriendly chemicals in them. He never seems the worse for it though.

Ha - you have not been inducted to the uses of Dog Drool

The stuff makes a GRrrrreat hair gel, it can also be used for polishing tile floors. In a pinch, if you get an even amount of it it can be used for furniture polish (nothin' like it  ) ... ;) ...g

BWAHAHAHA! Gabi! My baby Beemer's a mastiff. I know all about that. ROTFL!

At shows everyone in our group has beach towels we use for drool rags. Those little hand towels just don't cut it. LOL!

Oh, and we have hard wood floors. Talk about SHINE! ;) hehehe...

Oh, and when he "cleans" Whitney's ears (one of the borzoi), her hair is left sticking straight up. :D

 poor Borzoi - they look so funny with their ears all weirded up. But there is nothing like a Beemer type with ears up (I'm sure you have tried this :DD )...g

and every morning my parents would say a cow jump over the fence and gave me my cowlick.
I believed it too :D
