Several people have asked about the up-do pictured in my avatar so here (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showpost.php?p=293046&postcount=84) are step-by-step instructions with pictures. I hope they help!

I've never seen an updo like this before. It's so pretty!

Thank you such detailed instructions. I'm one of those that needs all the help she can get with these things.

That is so cool. I'll bookmark the link so I can try it when my hair is a bit longer. Or I can try it now, get frustrated and try again later

Thank you so much for the step-by-step with pics :flowers: . I've tried a couple of times to do this (it looks sooo pretty in your avatar) but mine doesn't turn out looking anything like that  I think I see now what I've been doing wrong! A picture is worth a thousand words sometimes

Thank you so much Tiffanie! I wondered if it was some kind of a knotted bun. I'm going to try it. I'm ready for a new bun variation.

This is so pretty! I love your hair and can't wait to do this when my hair is (much) longer. Thanks for the instructions!

Glad you all like the bun, but I can't take all the credit. I got the idea from Twitch and tweaked it a little on accident :) I forgot to mention that sometimes you might need to use a hairpin or two to secure the very ends and keep the loop from pulling out. Sometimes, like today, my hair seems to be 'slicker' than usual and it likes to come undone unless I use a hairpin to anchor the whole thing.

Hmmmm maybe we could call it something Tiffanie's Tweaked Twitch?? :silly: Ok and maybe not! Anyways........I got inspired today when my hair was almost dry. My first try on your bun was a nice bun but it was the round donut kind. I didn't get the loop just right. I came home and tried it again and .....Viola!! :silly: A Tiffanie bun! I am on :cloud9: Thank you for posting such good instructions.

Tiffanie, It is apparent I was not the only one who is inspired by your bun. Thanks a zillion for the heads up. I won't be able to make this bun for a very long time, but I definitely will as soon as I have enough length. Hugs again!!!! :flowers: Krisi

Tiffanie, that bun is really gorgeous! Thanks for the instructions. Unfortunately, I tried and failed at it. My hair is not long enough, or too thick. Or I'm just lame! :)

Not long enough???? I don't think so!! It might be TOO long! :) You could do TWO of the buns with all that length!! Your hair IS a lot thicker than mine, too.

Meg & Silverlady, you are most welcome. I hope you find success with it :) It DOES take longer hair. I just trimmed about 2 inches last weekend, and now this style is a little less secure, the bottom tail keeps jumping out :(

It'S such a cool bun but I couldn't do it too because of length defficiency
Oh and I broke one of my hairsticks LoL
