Well ladies, and gents -
It's been a long time since I've posted at this community, and since the move is being made to new boards - I thought I'd try again.
I've lurked here off and on since I found the link again(lost it between computer moves), and continue to lurk at some of the other popular hair boards - for basically the reasons I'm about to outline.
And I guess the easiest way to say this is to lay it out on the table - I don't have "perfect" hair - I've got long layers - my braids wind up bushy - my ends aren't blunt cut in a straight line (frankly, I don't need a horizontal line across my bottom!), I colour my greys, and sometimes, I'm the devils advocate, the asker of questions NO ONE answers, and I will probably manage to have a contrary opinion, and an unpopular viewpoint on more than one occasion. Chances are good I'll never have a dolly, or a signature other than "Gren" - is this a bad thing?

Well - that's entirely up to you.
I'm certainly willing to go back to lurk mode, but since my name is at the bottom of the board for all the universe to see - I figured I better say something.

glad you delurked :D Don't be too bothered if some of your posts go unanswered right away. Some people don't read everyday. I certainly will answer if I know anything. Which I usually am the asker not the answerer. ha ha welcome anyway.

Welcome to our community!

There's room for ALL types here! Heck, if perfect hair were a requirement, I'd certainly be booted out! My hair may be long, but it's far far far from perfect. :D One of the best things about this community is that we can share our trial-and-error results with each other.

Welcome!

Welcome to LHC!
That's what the boards are for, helping each other with our hair no matter what it's current state or your hair goal is.
We love opinions and ideas and good discussion. Hopefully you've noticed this already!

Aw, shucks, no one has perfect hair. In fact,
many don't post pix unless their hair looks it's best.

Truth be known, we all have hair problems.
I have whispies from wearing rough hair sticks,
varied colors from the sun, and bangs which are shorter
than my length. I could go on, but the only women with
perfect hair are those on t.v. and we all know the tricks
it takes to make the Pantene hair look so good.

The only requirement for posting on this board is
a keyboard.

;)

Hope you'll post often, and hang in there, someone will
post a response for you.

I'm still a newbie myself, but I wanted to say hello. I lurked for a long time for similar reasons, so I feel what you're saying. Personally, I like ya already :)

Don't you dare relurk! Trust me, if you had perfect hair you probably wouldn't get half the responses you get with normal hair! And you hair IS normal! Only prerequisit around here is a keyboard like she said :) This is a community, not a fashion show 8) so sit back, read and relax ;)

Hi! You sound like a fun person, and I'd sure like to read your future posts :) And by the description of your hair, I think it sounds lovely.

Personally, I think you sound like you'll be a lot of fun and will fit right in. Many of us think of ourselves as misfits anyway ;) , so we're happy to welcome one more!! :DD

Hi Gren! :)

Welcome to this wonderful place. You don't always have to be a a ray of sunshine around here; we all have our days and there are quite a few "misfits," as Pixna mentioned - LOL (not that you are a misfit, mind you!). And, we're all struggling with our hair in one way or another. I have a bunch of permed ends I'm growing out. :P So, a big welcome to you and I hope to see you around her a lot!
