I was just watching an episode of Antiques Roadshow, and the final person on had a collection of antique hair barettes, ads for hair growth tonics from the 19th century, and pictures of the Seven Sutherland Sisters! She herself had a picture of her hair loose with her, which she hasn't "cut" since she was 13  (Though she did admit that she takes off a "foot every now and then"). So I guess that we should save our little quirky hair paraphenlia, since her collection was worth 4-6,000 dollars! How cool is that? 8)

Wow, I collect hair "stuff" too, (and lots of other old junk)
This weekend I purchased "mint in box" a Kenner's new easy curl quck hair setting kit for girls dated 1968. It's really neat and runs on a 60 watt bulb. I have a very extensive collection of vintage hair toys too.

Didn't she have gorgeous hair? Do you suppose that for someone with hair that thick that taking off the bottom foot is a "dusting"? :D :D :D

Oh I wish I had seen that. I love old hair things. I've been collecting hair receivers recently. I only have 3 so far. I'd love to find some old barrettes and hairpins.

Shucks, I missed it too - and I love that show!
I collect antique hair combs (which are hard to come by). I would love to buy some hair receivers. I'm going not to search the 'net. HA!

Heehee!!! :D I'm sorry I missed this episode of the show -- darn! We used to watch it religiously (when they had the former host), but now we watch it only occasionally when we catch it by chance.
