I've used this twice so far as a deep conditioner, and WOWIE!!! Here's what I did:

~Shampoo w/ Abba Creme Moist
~rinse with ACV rinse
~apply Wella Flash Flood
~cleaned tub ;)
~sparingly used jojoba oil

Everything is normal in this routine, which I do every Friday, excep the Wella. I combed my hair and let it airdry (out of necessity because I running late in picking up a cousin @ the airport). Normally when i comb my hair after showering, I lose a lot of wave/curl and my hair ends up looking 1a-1c, but I caught my reflection in a car window and saw my hair was 2c half-damp! not only that, the parts that tend to only spiral when i scrunch and diffuse were spiralling on their own! i looked like i had gel'd my hair or put curl cream in my hair, but nope...what a first! of course my hair was soft, but that could've been the jojoba oil. oddity is i don't even get results like this with kenra (my staple), though the kenra does make my hair feel equally soft. so I'm guessing the Wella is VERY good at restoring moisture to hair. Best thing is...no 'cones, and I usually do very well with 'cone products than w/ non-'cone products. Hmmm.

Side note: once my hair was fully dry I started to play w/ it and combed through w/ my fingers (like an idiot) and my hair returned to "normal"...but I'm fantasizing how much better my hair would look if I kept the curl by using gel today...wow...

I may have to give up the Kenra Intensive Emollient because at least w/ this stuff I didn't need to apply heat...

Wella Flash flood is great stuff! It's my favorite moisturizing conditioner. No cones or protein, and it makes my hair so soft.

Well since the thread got bumped I will have to add my review!

I was unimpressed with Flash Flood, I CWC'd with it and left it on for 10 min and didnt find it moisturizing in the least. My hair was left feeling rather rough with virtually no shine. I will give it another chance, but I've used it 3 times now with the same results each time.
oh, and I really dont like the smell.

I was surprised at how my hair reacted to this conditioner, it LOVES Wella's Wake-up Call shampoo. This is the second conditioner I have used from the line and so far I'm 0 for 2. *shrug*

How odd Twitch! I'll never understand how something can be so fantistic for some and do nothing for others.

I am another person who swears by the Wella Flash Flood. I find it extremely moisturizing for my hair. My hair is so soft and smooth when I use it. I love that I don't have to leave the shower to use it....I just have to have a very long one. I've never used a conditioner better suited for my hair. Though I do get similar results when I use three different conditioners in one shower...Suave Naturals, AO GPB and AO Honeysuckle rose....but the Wella doesn't take quite as long.

Thanks for the reviews on this! I've just ordered some and when it arrives I'll use it when I wash and post my results. Is this considered an every day conditioner, a deep conditioner or can it be used as both? I can't wait to try it!! I love a good conditioner. :inlove:

I love mixing conditioners but I've never mixed the GPB with anything other than another AO conditoner. Do you do one at a time and rinse between each conditioner or do you gob them all together over your hair? I tend to either mix in my hand or just slather on one after the other.

So where do you get this wonderful conditioner?? I have similar hair and would love someting that I could air dry with and still get great curls like I do when I diffuse. Thanks for the review on this.

I usually use the Suave as the first C in a CWCC. It goes: Suave Naturals Conditioner, Shampoo (Mastey Traite), GPB for at least 5 min, then Honeysuckle Rose for another 3 min or so. I've never tried mixing the last two conditioners...I imagine it might work just as well.

Jennifer- It's considered a deep conditioner....you are supposed to leave it in for about 10 minutes. I like to put a shower cap on over my conditioner drenched hair and stay in the shower....sometimes I let hot water pour over the cap to intensify the effictiveness of the conditioner, but it works very well without doing this.

You CAN use it as an everyday conditioner...I've used it for shorter ammounts of time (2-3 min). It just doesn't seem to leave my hair quite as soft if I wash it out sooner.
