I got 2 inches of yucky ends off my hair. My ends are more blunt and feel great. I also have a wonderful 'swing' thing going too :D
The condition and overall look of my hair has improved 100%.

I also warmed up the color of my hair. I used the Clairol Nice and Easy #104 med golden blonde. It is such a really pretty honey blonde shade.

I am soooo happy with the results of 2 inches I am going to get 2 more off. Now dont panic..... I have just decided that quality is a little more important than quantity right now. Once I get it one length I can then just sit back and let my hair grow :D

I will continue to measure every month because I am curious to see if my growth picks up being soooo close to one length. I think it will be so easy to continue to grow my hair long with it one length. I am so damn peach keen happy right now :) This was the best thing I could have done for my hair.

I am just soooo happy with the results and only look forward to how it will look next year :)

I have got a before cut pic, 2 inch cut pic, and will take a pic after another 2 off my lenth. I want to chart my hair growth with pics so I can see my progress over the next year.

I'm so glad you feel so much better about it! :D
And you know your hair is the better after the cut.
Just don't get too cut-happy

That's wonderful, Betty!! I'm sure it looks great!!
But you'll wait with the other two inches, right? At least a few weeks? Waiting a little while keeps me from being too scissor happy :)

Congrats Betty

I agree with you about quality before quantity.

You could keep your progress photos in your 'hair journal'. It would be great to be able to follow your progress and see it too.

Katrine, I was actually thinking of doing that :D
It will just take me a while to get organized and start my hair journal.

2 more inches off will only make my hair look better.
I really think it will be easier to grow longer with those yucky crunchy ends off. They did nothing for me and my hair just feels soooo much better. Yes I lost length but I will gain it back in time.

I also did the trim and colour thing... had 2" trimmed off my hair to get rid of that  "v" shape and to even up the layers I've been growing. Sure, it's now 2" above my waist but it's sooo blunt and thick, I love it!! There's still one more layer making it's way down, but the majority is one length, so I think it looks great.

Also had a colour done yesterday. I chickened out of going back to my natural brunette.... did an all-over dark blonde with highlights just at the front. I figure that since I trim those as long pieces around my face, then the highlights can't really hurt. But, but, but.... I still may do the brunette next time. Can't make up my mind!

Anyways, sweetie, I'm so glad you are enjoying your new "do" as much as I am!

Lots of love to you, Sheba :D

Dont ya just love those blunt ends :D

Very glad your loving your cut too. I know what I am doing will only be to my benifit in the long run. I am kind of anxious to see if my growth changes with my length.
I am excited cant ya tell ?

Oh it is hard to go darker isn't it? I love my Barbie blonde but but..... I just need a whole new look while I grow. The warmer honey color makes my complection looks so much better too. It really perked me up.

Nice to see ya :)

It must be the moon :o Because I trimmed about 2 inches today too.

I went from blunt cut to U-shape. Like it so far but no trimming for a long while for me.

Yes 2 inches is nothing. 4 month and they are back.

Hi Betty, I'm so glad you are happy with your trim. I know it was hard for you to do. 2" is a lot! Well to me it is. You are so right about quality before quantity. I can't wait to see the pictures. You are so brave...I'm agonizing over getting an inch cut. Maybe next month I can do it.

Ok, Betty, but did the 2 inches (and the 2 upcoming inches) pass the 3 week test??????

Hmmmmmmmm? ;)

I'm just teasing!

It is sooooooo nice to feel that "just been cut' swing to hair!!

That the cut was good. Are you sure you like it? Heeheehee j/k I can tell your in love with it. I'm glad the new color is working for you too. That Barbie blonde works for awhile, but I am sure the new color brightens your face and features so much better!

Woo Hoo Betty, et al - it must look and feel fabulous and you are getting very close to your goal now. When I get that length I'll probably start cutting to maintain for awhile too ...:DD...g

I'm so glad you love your trim - quality wins for me every time, in fact I had a trim myself on Wednesday, only a dusting, but it looks neater :D

Ha ha, me too. Well, not two inches, but I went from a blunt cut to a U-shape. Yesterday I 'polished' it even more. So I won't be gaining any length this month, but that's ok. My bangs and layers are growing, anyway, and that's all that matters right now :)

I'm so glad you like your new cut! I'd LOVE to see pictures sometime of your hair down. And, one day I really want to see your hair from the front! (You can blur your face if you want). I'd love to see how you wear your bangs. :)

Doesn't it feel good to have healthy ends? I'm glad that you are happy with your hair decision. :D

Glad you're happy! I'm not sad about my burnt braid anymore, either, because I have absolutely no more dryness, no more splits now that I cut my hair. OK, bra-strap isn't anything special lengthwise, but my healthy hair feels great.
