I'm not really good at introductions, but here goes:

I'm 23 years old, and I live in the Netherlands. I've liked and wanted long hair for most of my life, but I've never really gotten around to letting it grow out. Right now I'm almost at Bra strap length, and it's the longest I've ever had it. I've had all lengths from a pixie to shoulder length, and now I'm just letting it grow. My goal is classic length or longer, provided it keeps looking nice and healthy.

Although I didn't post the pictures for the purpose of showing my hair, you can see the different lengths and colors I've had in my life. Also, don't bother reading the rest of my journal. It's mostly based on my Lord of the Rings fandom and all things related, and I hardly ever post anything interesting. My account is mostly for lurking purposes.

I only really made the decision to let my hair grow out in december of 2003, and it has grown a good 6 or 7 inches since then.

It looks like you are doing well. I like the variety of bangs you've tried. Or at least they look different. Are you keeping them or growing them out too?
6 -7 inches in a year is a pretty good amount even if that is average. Hopefully it won't slow down. Thanks for sharing with us.

I'm currently growing out my bangs, but I might decide to keep a few jaw length wispies, to soften the look of updo's.

I really hope my hair keeps growing that fast, the way it looks it just keeps growing faster and faster. Maybe because I'm being really nice to my hair now, something I've learned from these hair boards...

I'm almost at bra strap length, but my ultimate goal is classic length, provided it stays looking healthy. I should reach my goal somewhere in 2007 if I don't trim too often.
