No I am not growing my hair from a pixie...LOL even though I had my hair like that before when I was in high school back in 10th grade.
I kept my hair sholder length for the longest time. I would get it cut shorter in the summer time so it wasn't so hot for me. But this summer was the first summer where I didn't get it cut, I just got it trimmed insted. I want it to get long again like how I had it when I was in 7th grade. But I don't really have a goal just yet I might want to go longer then what I use to have when I was a child.
Corinne November 28th, 2004, 11:28 AM Hello PlatinumPixey!
My name is also Corinne (as you can tell lol) but it's very unusual to find someone else by that name and spelled in the traditional way no less!!!
Welcome to the boards! :flower:

Welcome to the boards! :flower:
That is awesome that you have the same name as me and that it is also spelt the same way to.
Yes you are right not many people have this name and it is amazing when you find some one who has it too that it is spelled the same way also.
Here is the big thing now, how is yours pronounced?
Mine is pronounced Coreen. Because of how it is spelt I often get called Corren, unlike when people who have it spelt Corrine they pronounce it like how mine is said even though mine is spelt with one r and 2 n's. LOL I know very technical, but I'm sure you know what I'm taking about

Mine's pronounced core-in. Oh well, two out of three isn't bad!
And I do know exactly what you're talking about! It can be pronounced so many ways, from the way you pronounce it to a southern version that sounds like Karen. Plus you have the complications with the various forms of spellings: Corinne, Corrine, Corrinne, Karinne, etc. (and don't even get me started when people add as instead of es on the end!)
Argh! you have to be a Corinne to understand. LOL!
The nice thing about it is that it's an unusual name, and people always remember you, even if it's only as that-girl-who's-name-I-can't-pronounce. :rockerdud

I don't know where exactly my name came from with the pronunciation but I do know that my mom named me after her best friend.
But you are right it is a unique name and as much as it bothers me that no one can pronounce it all the time, it's still cool that I'm not like every one else that has a common name. I'm just who I want to be, Different!
Carolyn November 28th, 2004, 04:38 PM Hello Platinum Pixie and welcome. Hope you enjoy your hair growing adventure.

Well, I do know that your pronunciation of it seems to be the most common because any time someone tries to read my name they always say core-een.
