Hi ALL :waving:
I must confess I don't even remember what month I joined  .
Anywho - I will try to make my hairstory short (Yikes, but NOT my hair  ).
My hair has NEVER been super long. Never, ever, ever. I do know I have the potential for it since my aunt had butt length hair and I favor her physically.
I used to get relaxers (I have been getting them since I was 3 y.o.) but decided to stop nine years ago. I didn't relax my hair for three years and it grew to bra-strap length. However, natural AA hair was not readily acceptable in Corporate America (especially in the South) and was not acceptable to my employer at that time. I had to find other employment and out of fear I chose to relax again.
Two years later I decided I needed to stop relaxing again and have been growing my hair ever since. I have had some set backs. My first set back was coloring my hair. The coloring every six weeks dried it out and caused breakage. The second setback was definitely self-inflicted. I read the Proctor and Gamble website on hair and split ends, yada yada.... Let's just say that I ended up "trimming" my hair every week or so. I probably cut off a good four to six inches within a two month period of time (November and December 2002). I continued to color my hair until June or July 2003 when the lightbulb came on that coloring may damage my hair.
August 2003 my SIL chopped of a good two to three inches and I honestly haven't cut it since then. I recently conducted a minor S&D but that's about it.
I need to get back on track in terms of exercise, healthy eating, reduced stress, and such to focus on maximum growth.
Okay - well I've run out of steam for now....Ta Ta.....
