Hey everybody! I've been lurking around and at a friends request joined.

Right now my hair is 28 inches, just past bra strap. I'm currently fighting the urge to dye my hair with chemicals and would love to give henna a try! Any pointers on henna would be appreciated.
My hair is medium brown with red highlights and I would like to know what color do you think my hair would turn if I used henna? I also need some help fighting frizz and dryness especially with winter coming along. Thanks in advance! :)

Lacy, welcome to LHC! :flower: Just this past year I started using henna on my naturally dark brown hair that had some natural red tones prior to henna. You'll find a lot of great information on henna here.

Hi Lacy and welcome to the board :flower:

From what I've read the henna thing will turn your hair an orangish color. Kinda bright at first but will mellow out so don't panic :scared: You'll get better tips than I can give about that. It's good to have you here :rockerdud

Hi Lacy and welcome to the boards.

For henna - check out Henna for Hair (http://www.hennaforhair.com). Lots of info, lots of great people around - many are also active here. I still lurk over there, but I'm not as active as I used to be - should probably change that...

I use henna over a light reddish brown, similar in level to Teacherbear's (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/member.php?u=35) but with more reddish overtones compared to the golden overtones that Teacherbear has. The end result can be seen on the pics on my homepage linked below.

Welcome, Lacy!

I know nothing about henna, but lots of people here use it, so if you don't find what you're looking for, keep asking.

I don't have experience with henna but there are plenty of people who do.
Some people have said that they had less frizz or less problems after switching to Conditioner Only washes. (See the link above)
That may help you.

It's nice to have you here. Good Luck with your progress. :)

Hi Lacy, :waving:

Welcome to LHC! :flower: My hair is medium brown with reddish/auburn highlights, and I dye it with henna. It's a tiny bit darker and a lot more reddish now, and I quite like it.

Fia already pointed you to the best henna site of the web, Henna For Hair. There's a board, too, so you can ask anything. The site owner, Catherine Cartwright-Jones, really knows her stuff.
