our kitty of many names (everyone seems to need to give her a new name  ) goes in for surgery on thursday. about a week ago i found a mass on her chest under one of her nipples. she went into the vet and since the mass is in the mammary gland the vet wants to remove it. so she goes in thursday :( she was unhappy all day yesterday after going to the vet in the morning so i can only imagine what she will be like after the surgery

so everybody give us good thoughts that she gets through it ok and that it is not cancer (we are getting a pathology report)

thanks

well the surgery turnned out well... the mass was fluid filled so probably not cancerous :rockerdud but when she got her teeth cleaned she had to have 5 removed :wail: not a happy kitty. it also turned out that she has a bladder infection... protious(sp?) which is a really bad one that makes kitties pee allover the house, luckily they caught it early but kitty hates all the antibiotics. lol they gave us a little pill gun for the ones she has to take now

she was very funny when we first brought her home... she actually fell off the bed trying to be pet by b/f. and she only wanted to make right hand turns

she is good now but very spoiled... we babied her while she was healing and now she wants it to continue

sorry it took so long to update you guys... i wasn't online at all last week.

I'm glad it turned out so well. We actually had a Boston Terrier that had breast cancer, so it does happen. I had a cat that also had some form of cancer once. Sounds like you have a good vet though. :flower:

I can imagine how you feel - it's so hard having to worry about those critters. I'm glad everything turned out so well.
